I had an anthropology professor who discovered a tribe in Brazil that had no knowledge of anyone else. She was a six foot tall pale skinned red-head, walking amongst five foot tall brown skinned people who were VERY confused.

The sad part is they were forcibly relocated by the company that hired her. That was back in the 1990's. They probably live in a trailer park now, eating Cheetos and drinking beer while watching reality TV.

At first they thought she was a goddess- I bet they eventually thought she was a demon.

Maybe they know where the gold is. We should send people down there with vinerial diseases and blankets full of small pox. Take some chains and make them slaves and have them dig for gold and fight each other for food. Now that sounds like a christain good time.

leave them alone... period. We ALWAYS fuck shit up and lose history when we mess with these cultures... They may continue to survive, or perish with the limited land they're able to maintain (due to our greedy hands)... When they do perish (it's only a matter of time sadly) we can study it... If there were a non-invasive way to document the language that would be great, but even when we CAN document the language, we still end up fumbling and losing it... It's best to just let it be... If they decide to come out and communicate, fine, but these tribes are fundamental in understanding how and why we became the way we are.

No wonder that package I ordered is late...
