Yes it should be legal. And we lose almost everything we declare "war" on that isn't real war ... and we lose those too.

It should be legal, but restricted, like alcohol.
It's not for kids.

And, as a culture, we should not encourage any drug use- including alcohol.
Individual freedom for people to make up their own minds, plus education to able them to make up their own minds intelligently.

I feel that marijuana should be decriminalized as far as if you are in possession of it, you shouldn't go to jail. But, I fear as cigarette costs are upwards to 12-14 dollars in many places, how much would you have to pay for a joint?--So, I don't know if legalization and decriminalization may mean the same thing, but taxation on marijuana would be ridiculous.

I don't even like pot. It makes me dizzy and headachy and sick to the stomach..

... but most people who smoke it don't have a problem with it.

There's no logical reason for it to be illegal.

the so called war on drugs has been a total failure,, unless you are big pharma, big oil, big paper or big cotton----- hemp (a non drug victim of the war on drugs) is great natural biodegradable resource for plastic, fuel, clothing and paper and marijuana has many valuable medical benefits,,, oh and it also makes people happy... but to our bought and paid for politicians this is bad .......

Well Weed is made by mother earth....The government isn't stopping the Indian's smoking it..on their land...If it's man made then yes stop it..But we all know it isn't..so i say smoke away........It grows naturally ..so the government better search out every square inch of land and pull out every natural weed that grows from the ground..in the wild.....

No one should be able to tell another what they can or cannot put in their own bodies...and to put people that do drugs in prison, with rapists and murderers is insane.

M is a wonder plant , commercial use is untapped . The fiber is used for clothe , paper and other things . The oil can be used for fuel , synthesis of more than 60% of what is derived from petrol. The yield potential per acre is huge compared to cotton and oil bearing plants currently under commercial use.
