...Later in May, Schilling were sitting on a couch in her classroom with the teen boy, watching a movie after school, according to affidavits. The boy told police he leaned over and kissed his teacher, which led to full sexual intercourse that day. In the early June, on the last day of school, a school janitor walked in on Schilling and the freshman lying together on the couch, police say. The janitor said the student fled through a side door and Schilling told her to knock next time....

    • Boys at that age don't know what they are doing, but this teacher did. Treat this the same way you would treat a male that coerced his female 16 year old student into having sex with him.
      Either way, it's gross, but we need to get rid of the double standard of punishment, and punish both male and female pedophiles equally.

    • I understand how this can happen - lonely people, opportunity, proximity, etc., but my question remains this: If you know you have the propensity within yourself to bend toward these types of attractions, and you cannot conform your conduct to either basic human morals, your own ethical code, or to the law, then WHY STAY IN THE JOB AND RISK EVERYTHING IN YOUR WORLD FOR THESE STOLEN MOMENTS OF LUST? Surely the sex cannot be that good - these are inexperienced youths cavorting with adults old enough to be their parent - or grandparent! Why not find another job teaching a population to which you cannot possibly be attracted? We are seeing one of these teachers caught just about every month these days - surely they must read the newspapers or read articles on the internet - they see their peers getting busted for this - don't they realize they cannot possibly get away with it?
