It's hard to follow Keith here. The RSS feed for Countdown isn't working and AFRTS has hesitated to pick up the show for broadcast on the Armed Forces Network. By the time somone posts a torrent to the show, a day has passed. This is soooo frustrating.

I loved the segment Keith did also on how Kansas is trying to circumvent Roe v Wade and basically make it impossible to get an abortion in the state. Horrible!

What those Republicans had put in that budget had absolutely nothing to do with fiscal responsibility at all...........was all about controlling the unwashed masses. TPaw wasresponsible for their shortfall too. Imagine that a republican pretending to be responsible when erally they are only screwing the little guys

I wonder how long it will take the working-class people who are following along with the GOP to figure out that the Republicans want to put them in their place too. It's not just the progressives they are wanting to take down it is anyone with less than a million in their pocket. When you have to struggle every waking moment to put a roof over your head and food in your stomach you don't have time to fight them.

wynnmeg61, Keith did a web video on his former FOK (Friends of Keith) web site, where he analyzed the mentality of working class people who continue to fawn over the rich. He entitled it "Lotto Nation". It is the mentality of many among the working poor who refuse to hate the rich because they still believe they will someday be one of them. The delusional belief that they could hit the jackpot one day and they wouldn't want to be taxed more when they hit it big. Food for thought indeed.

Another solid show from KO. Keith's story on the Minnesota government shutdown was a nice piece showing how the Minnesota GOP's decision to go this route rather than negotiate in good faith has provided a great proving ground for any national GOP thoughts on doing the same regarding the debt ceiling. It should also provide the groundwork for the Democratic Party (if they are truly basing their strategy on good political) on how this plays out with the majority of Minnesota voters and run with it. I don't see this being any more successful than Gingrich's stunt in '94. But we will see. Good work from Keith on the state and national perspective, getting Pete DeFazio's take as well. This is the stuff we need more of.

If the voters are too stupid not to see how the GOP is protecting the millionaires and billionaires at the expense of the working class, there's not much to say anymore, kenny. I'm sick of seeing people voting against their best interests and hopefully with Keith getting the facts out there, we still stand a chance at stemmimg the tide.

Saw that on the news tonight too. Prosser needs to be ousted any way possible. The guy is a loose cannon and hopefully the Kochs will start to realize he got them what they wanted with the collective bargaining decision, but now it's time to cut him loose. But the Kochs usually don't let the absence of personal integrity in their political/judicial whores stand in the way of their objectives. We'll see how this one plays out.

Show starts in a few minutes- in order to keep things orderly - as soon as a new topic is posted all comments based on that comment should appear under the original topic as replies. When Keith moves to his next topic same thing should happen. I will stay out of the commenting and watch how everything goes in tonight's discussion group. Same thing applies for the subsequent airings of tonight's show- keep comments within the original topic as replies.
