Yes, Mother Nature has created bacteria that can eat crude oil (good), and the bugs have had a party feasting on BP's gunk. Then these bacteria had bacterium babies (bad). These little buggers, like all creatures, breathe — and so they sucked all the oxygen out of the water. Result: fish drowned. http://www.gregpalast.com/drowning-fish/-

The strain of bacteria that metabolizes crude oil is psuedomonas vulgaris.
Psuedomonas is pathologic. The third leading cause of death by pnuemonia is Psuedomonas.
There are mega trillions of Psuedomonas bacteria breeding in the Gulf of Mexico and other waterways thanks to oil spills. And you are eating food from that water.
Health care workers wash their hands with alcohol to kill Psuedomonas.
Ethanol. You can also drive your car with ethanol.
I think we should wash our hands and drive our cars with ethanol. We'll get rid of oil companies and Psuedomonas at the same time.
