it's time to start advocating for legalization of Medical Marijuana in FLA now. if the push is put on to do it by 2012; no doubt it will happen. there are lots of older folks who would medicate if they could, no doubt. crohns is a killer and I can tell you that after getting into the treatment cycle it was a decision that I had to make. either heal myself by getting what I needed before it was legalized. or letting my insides eat me. no sir ree bob.

"Real medical info" that uses textbooks and college knowledge as a measuring stick? Testimonials are important to TRUTH! The truth is what it is, even if the science is limited. If people claim that marijuana has helped their condition, we should trust that they aren't lying to us. Why would they? The idea that anecdotes or testimonials are worthless is really sad because it assumes the person with the testimonial is either delusional, lying, or has been somehow tricked by his own experience. Where is the trust? If someone has lived with their body for 40, 50, 60 years, he knows more about how it feels, how it should feel, and what works to make him feel better and what doesn't work. That should be enough. if prescription drugs are knocking people off with side effects and marijuana isn't, THAT testimonial evidence and anecdotal evidence is VERY important and should not be brushed off like it came out of the National Enquirer.

To those who don't know the facts, it doesn't appear to be worth the effort. You have to remember, people were educated using madness as the guide. It's hard to counter madness with facts, when the facts were hidden with purpose. Our government and those in leadership chose to spin madness, for personal and political gain. It's hard for people to believe they were mislead.

Our leaders know the facts, yet they chose to ignore them, thinking no one would be the wiser. Fortunately, with the internet people are learning the truth, backed up with facts. Anytime you can share the information with others, don't hesitate.

Educate, innovate, build! We can build a better world by sharing facts today!

Just owning the timber wasn't enough. William Randolph Hearsst used his news paper to create a 'new' sounding drug, which was sweeping America. Thereby creating the name 'marijuana'. Stories were written, putting a slant on every cannabis story, using the name 'marijuana'.

Doctors did not know the new drug sweeping America was cannabis. Once they found out and tried to speak out against the new draconian laws, they were threatened with the loss of their medical license, if they did not remain silent. Doctors were not allowed to even mention 'cannabis'.

Cannabis hemp was wiped from educational material in America. It's easier to lie to the people if they don't know the truth. I didn't learn about cannabis hemp in school. I didn't find out cannabis had history, until the late 80's, when I saw Jack Herer on a local show called the Morning Exchange in Cleveland.

I immediately called the show trying to find out more about him. I was told he was a walk on and they did not have any further information. I tried to buy his book from a book store, which was mentioned in the Sunday Magazine of the Plain Dealer. The story was they covered books on every topic. How to make explosives, etc. I called them and when I asked about the book, the gentleman on the other end, told me, 'that's a taboo subject' we don't handle that book. They weren't afraid to carry books about how to make explosives, but cannabis was a taboo subject.

"The Emperor Wears No Clothes" was one of the most profound books I had seen. The front half contains facts, whch were removed from American history. The second half of the book is actual copies of the documents used to get the facts.

Jack's wife Jeannie is a regular poster here at current. She has provided a treasure trove of facts. Politicians have not disputed the facts, they just refuse to discuss them. Ya know, 'taboo subject'. We have a war on American soil based on a plant, they refuse to talk about. Something is wrong with that picture! They have used the disinformation for political gain and it may be damaging to their political careers to admit it. I truly believe it's worse than cheating on their spouses. They are 'cheating us' out of valuable information, necessary to end their profitable war.

Just like every war, some are making outlandish amounts of money. Too many are profiting from the illegality of cannabis, it makes it hard to make it legal and eliminate their profits. Sad, sad, sad.

you wont find much medical information on how well this works because the doctors and the pharma companies do all they can to bury the truth, look up Rick Simpsons Run from the cure, on youtube, you will see why there is not any medical backup and may others who share similar stories,

Go to pubmed and do a search - keywords - cannabis cancer or cannabis Parkinsons or cannabis glaucoma or cannabis Alzheimers or etc. The National Institute of Health adds medical information to pubmed as available. enjoy.

I think the pressure is there. I just think the government and the Obama administration are stubborn about it. They have some other reason for keeping pot illegal and they are not telling us what that reason is. In short, they are deceiving us about something.
