Current TV Site really fucking sucks!!!!!!

I now use the Brit version.

Ironically, I switched to Current as my main site because KO had negotiated a place for himself here.

However, when KO actually arrived, Current made some unfortunate changes (Current-American members not being able to post under a "News" banner is one of them), and did it rather high-handedly.

We lost a lot of our best posters when that happened. I went away for awhile, too, but ran into a poster on another site who said the Brit Current version still has a News button/site on the home page.

So here I am.

Completely agree. I don't even know how to navigate the site anymore or find the new trending topics. All the changes Current has made to the site have decreased my use of the site by at least 95%.

if anyone finds a better site, message me, cause i feel like current is going under, but it is still the best aggregate info site, because i havent seen any others. so let me know if you find one, im interested in burying this vested network in its own sponsorship.

I miss the news tab, I miss Sarah and Connor, oh well what can one do.

I, at least, am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay,...tired,....of hearing about the "NEWS" link,.....as though it were in some way SACRED and "SUPERIOR TO" other "community" groups.

You're absolutely right. The news stories used to be separated by type of story which made it infinitely easy for me to find articles that I was interested in reading. I have a penchant for reposting important "Green" and "News" articles on my facebook page for my non-current friends. Now I have a very limited choice of news to draw from, most of it a few days old still. FUCK YOU CURRENT.

now I know I am stirring the hornets nest but people have to realize current had to do something people were posting crazy national enquirer stories and stories that were flatly untrue. Current could not let these stories go up under the news heading in addition to really tasteless and vulgar titles like the one on this article.
So in other words you did it to yourself. However you still get to post your crazy and offensive stuff it is just under a different heading.

It takes one click on "Community" on the main page and there they are...the top 20 news stories. Easy.

I agree. This new format is needlessly confusin and a turnoff. While searching for "news" I got frustrated and was just about to log off when I took a shot at clicking on Community. Why would you make it harder for people to navigate the site? Stupid.

It's not that difficult. Instead of no clicks, it's one click. Get over it.

I am not the sharpest tack in the box, I admit. A few days ago I discovered that if I click on "Community" from the main page (not select an option from the Community drop-down menu), it takes me to the News page with the top 20 listings of New and Popular.

I'm posting this just in case there are others, like me, who did not notice this.

Step 1 type current tv in yahoo search engine brings the home page up every time. step 2 click on news or what ever you want the choices are there like they have always been.If it does,nt work for you keep trying eventually you will get it right

Current needs to *AT THE VERY LEAST* put a link to "News" under the community menu.

hey just so you know this post will be removed in matter of time for the f word.. so you can not be mad about that own fault doing that . i do think they should improve the setup and still push there network shows more however using f word alone is grounds for this page to be removed nothing to do with us talking about the current site but braking there terms.

Well, I came over for Newsvine (MSNBC) following Keith, but this site is frustrating in many ways. Removing the news link is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on a "news" site.

I realize Current has other programming (most of it I never watch) but the news link seems like it would be important to people that...well, want NEWS.

Looks like I'm going back to Newsvine.

Current has moved to far from that which has made it great.. but is it too later to pull back to the the middle and not fall into the far side of the darkness? this was site that had roots it had people wanting to turn in and it was more we the people than we the partyline TV(and i don't mean party in the fun way) It was site and channel of both side and keeping in the middle and real not this fanatic far left BS that has spewed hate as the far right has as well. Why is i get the feeling some screwed up Current not just because it was good but because it kept both side on guard by making them fear the truth about their political goals.

This site and the channel has been stripped of what made it good.. I just hope some is watching what is going on and stops this BS soon

yea now a days its more about there tv show network rater then what content we create and add but is that not the point of this site to promote there tv network
i think they need more ads on our posts for there tv show but they need to allow us more control over the site how it use to be.

i agree. the old format was more intuitive. easier to get to different sections IMO. hopefully they take this feedback into consideration.

I'm telling you....the pods that were online all the time were cool. Your shows are still good but not putting them online and shuttin out Olberman is driving me away. I only come to the community page because I like the "User" posts....like this one. GET WITH IT CURRENT.... because some love affairs do end, and we used to love you.....

I totally agree. First they only give you clips of Olberman, then they relocate the news page. This is becoming to much of a damn hassle to try to keep up with.

Someone is pushing us out. A couple posts like this were up a few days ago and made it to the top, but then they disappeared after a couple hours. They must be doing a lot of censoring now for some reason. It might be because of all the new ads they have...
