    • Wealthy people should pay more in taxes because they get more from Government.

A person that gets section 8 housing gets to live in an apartment for free or a greatly reduced rent. I know a person that owns enough homes that he earns tens of thousands of dollars a month from section 8.

A family on food stamps gets almost enough to feed themselves for a month. How many grocery stores would close if the food stamp program ended?

Medicare and Medicaid allow people to get the medical treatment they need. There are plenty of Doctors and Hospitals that earn substantial profits from Medicare and Medicaid.

I have several customers that display pictures of themselves with Presidents and Senators. Most of these pictures were taken at fundraisers where the person paid big dollars to shake the politicians hand and speak briefly with the politician. I send my representatives e-mails and leave messages on their Facebook page but I am sure only a low level staffer ever sees it.

    • The GOP just can't seem to stop themselves can they. Even their most rabid supporters who are on the lower half of the economic ladder are going to figure this out soon. They have no interest in a stronger economy and they are not about to "share the sacrifice" as it were. It actually looks to me as though Mr. Obama's strategy of putting SS and Medicare on the table has worked pretty effectively in that I don't think he has any plans to tear apart entitlements, but it sure has illustrated that the GOP will never raise a penny revenue whilst there is one soul still standing on the lower rung.
