Ongoing Hunger Strike at Pelican Bay Prison

FSRN: Prisoners in the isolation wing of the high security Pelican Bay jail are refusing meals and water to protest what they say are inhumane conditions.

      The whole thing just tears me up knowing that these prisoners are not the worst of the worst but the product of a society that cares not for the poor. The solitary confinement cages made my stomach reel. How horrible. Even worse is that most prisoners are not in for life and will somehow have to reconcile this abuse in our uncivil population.
