I'm kind of confused by your question. Are you saying that women should have a take home abortion kit or something? I'm pretty sure the women that have an abortion have to pay some sort of fee. It's not like the clinics giving abortions for free or something.

Ohhhh, it's only Democrats that do all of those things. Silly me. I mean, pure-hearted, God-fearing, Republican women NEVER have abortions. I didn't know that abortions were a one party commodity. Now you're talking about the Democrats are sending their kids to school without feeding them? Gee-whilikers! That's astounding!
I'm sure you're going to say that poor people should stop complaining about their lack of basic needs and medical care. You're so smart and witty. And please show me the evidence that abortions are free and Democrats are sending their kids to school without feeding them. I would love to see those facts and figures since you seem to know a lot of things concerning women's rights and Democrats.

A low income woman's abortion is funded by public funding. And your point is what? Do you know how or why some clinics preform abortions for "free"? Again, please show me. I assume you're all knowing on that department anyways. (Edit:) I already did some research on the matter, but I'd still love to see what you found.
First you're saying Democrats are irresponsible, now you're mentioning low income women. Which is it? I didn't know that poor people belong to one party. You're talking about those "most vulnerable among us" like you give a damn. You're quick to put a political label on people, who don't even concern you, with disdain.
Low income women who don't have the means or even proper environment to care for a baby should have assistance in getting an abortion. That means that at the very least, the procedure can be safe, so that women who don't want the fetus don't shove coat hangers up their snatch or damn near overdosing of certain medications to induce their own abortions.
If they choose to keep the fetus until it is born, then that is their choice. They can choose to keep the baby or give it up. Either way, all options should be considered. Even though there are assisted living programs, it's still not enough. Not every low income family can get food stamps, WIC, welfare, etc.

Ashley, In seeing the comments made by Throowrocks, the ignorant comments, I am so glad you set the record straight. I am sure abortions are bipartisan. They affect many people for many different reasons. And to answer his dumb ass question of how the least of these afford abortions, well it's real simple, the way most low income people afford everything else, robbing peter to pay paul--prioritizing the necessities. The real question that needs to be asked of Mr. Noitall is why is it any of HIS concern what women do with their bodies? I am so sick of this discussion and ALL women, no matter color, race, political party affiliation should be outraged that laws are being created and enforced to keep them living as second class citizens!!

I know people will always have different opinions about the issue of abortion, but I try to look at it from a realistic approach. My only concern is that women should have the opportunity to decide for themselves what they would to do with their reproductive system. No guilt trips, no labeling, no stigmatizing. As I mentioned before, for a woman to decide to go through with an abortion, it's hard.
Personally, I hope to never be put in that position, but I know a lot of women who weren't so lucky. Some of those women regretted their decision, others didn't, some didn't even care really.
But I will say this: No one, especially a man, will tell me what I can and can't do with my uterus. My boyfriend says and I quote, "It's your decision and I will support you." He's as much of a feminist as I am and I love him for it.

But you still mentioned earlier that Democrats are the ones sending their children to school without feeding them. Nice of you to show me some of the programs especially in my state though. Though they didn't mention "Democrats."
I wanted you to show me facts that Democrats are the ones that are doing it. Also earlier, I assume that you mentioned the whole Democrats thing with negativity, but your current post is a positive one. Semantics are pretty important. Now if you had said "low income families are sending their children to schools without feeding them" then I would've agreed with you on some level. But you didn't.
You're pretty bad at showing me the proper facts concerning with your posts. But keep trying.

I don't want to put a political label on myself for these reasons:
1. The characteristics of the (top two) party lines changes every so often.
2. No one can be purely one side or the other. I have Conservative views as well as Liberal.
3. The constant "Us vs Them" attitude that both sides share. It's hard, but I try to understand all sides of a situation. If I say something and someone will give me unbiased proof that I am wrong, then I will admit that I was wrong. A lot of people won't do that. Instead, they'll do some name calling and walk away.
I call people names all the time. I'm prideful, I can be a brat, I'm passionate, but I am big enough to admit when I'm wrong. I can admit that I get heated at times, but I try to take a breath, relax, and think clearly.

Screw trying to help the poor. They want to make budget cuts to programs necessary to those that don't have enough money for basic needs and medical care. But they care SO much about some fetus inside a woman's uterus. When that fetus comes out, they could care less about it.
If a woman wants to have an abortion, why should they care about the reason? How does a stranger's abortion affect them personally? Will they really lose sleep over an aborted fetus that isn't theirs? Forget the fact that there are countless children all over the world that are abused, unloved, murdered, etc. But no, that fetus in Suzy Q.'s uterus is much more important.
It's already hard enough for a woman to decide to go through it. Why make her feel worse because their righteous fury is burning?

I think it's time to quit pretending the republicans are against abortions. Since 1973 the only time the number of abortions were reduced in any given year were the 8 years of the Clinton administration. Furthermore, the single most abortion reduction bill ever passed since 1973 is the affordable health care act and every republican is totally against it.

And it is OK to let the woman die in childbirth as long as the fetus lives. Crackpot logic again. Welcome to the new Dark Ages. All we need now is a plague like the Black Death. Only this time, instead of everyone dying, those that cannot afford healthcare will do the dying. Unless of course, a woman is pregnant. Then it will be; keep her alive until she delivers, then let her die.

This reminds me, I once saw a movie about a group of people who really obsessed about the birth of a particular child, didn't give shit about the mother and this group was in a devil cult or something; the movie was so boring I stopped watching midway, but people obsessing over abortion are creepy as hell.

Typical tea-bagger BS. There are lies, lies about the lies, lies about the lies about the lies, etc. This is all to cover up the drive for corporate control of this country. It is all about power and the melding of the religious zealots, government, and corporations gives this a clarity that even the most brain dead Faux head should be able to grasp. It has always been my hope that people will see this in time. Large corporations are, after all, parasites. They may not have started that way but they've evolved to this. Successful parasites cannot kill the host or they themselves will die; they have started killing the host.

I saw this the night it aired. The Tea Party is just a new name for The John Birch Society. They are the same bigoted class and the same big government proponents when it comes to suppressing the rights of people they disagree with. They don't care about the economy or the defense budget. It's the same religious right it has always been but was is so scary this time around is the way that they are succeeding at defunding Planned Parenthoods restricting aboprtions and poor women's healthcare options.
