CNN Ignores Piers Morgan’s Connection To News Corp. Scandal

According to a Media Matters report, CNN reported on the scandal 107 times over the same period of time MSNBC and Fox News reported on it 71 and 30 times, respectively. But while the Time Warner news network may smell blood, some may be emanating from their own studios.
Piers Morgan, the British journalist and talk show host who took over for CNN’s venerable Larry King earlier this year, is a former editor of the now-defunct News of the World, the tabloid at the center of the hacking scandal. Moreover, Morgan has been implicated in a separate celebrity phone hacking scandal while he was editor of the U.K’s Daily Mirror.

    • CNN is laughable..and Morgan just compliments this floundering 'news' network. They can't make up their mind if they want to be 'news'..or a tabloid....right or left? I am in love with CBS and Scott Pelley for my news.....MSNBC is trying hard to follow the fox brand of 'journalism'. meh to all of them...but, yeah..to Pelley and CBS.

    • All I can find is Casey Anthony stories. Casey Anthony has been tried in court. It's time for them to stop trying her in 'the court of public opinion', trying to avoid the Rupert Murdoch story.

      What about the little girl who died and Rupert Murdoch's paper hacked her voice mail? That's a unfolding story. Casey Anthony is done. She can not be retried. They are retrying her on American television. Shame on them!

    • Of course they do. They are mainstream media who make their living from mainstream business, and have a lot of money tied up in Piers Morgan's show. It doesn't take much to know that CNN has gone off the range after watching Morgan's show, even once. He is one of the most egocentric and rude talk show hosts I have ever watched. When watching him interview guests I become embarrassed for them that they are obliged by civility to sit there while he continuously interrupts them and shuts them down. Pathetic, CNN!
