While her husband tried to explain his side of the story to the presiding judge, Harvick allegedly interrupted him and wouldn't stop talking. This prompted the judge to sentence Harvick to ten days in jail for contempt of court. The jail sentence did not please Harvick very much, as you will soon come to understand by watching the video above.
Harvick now faces more jail time and more charges. Lunge and learn.

What happened afterwards aside, 10 days in jail for not shutting up is obscene. We are certainly a punishment-centric society.

Though to be fair - the amount of time she was wasting of the court's was costing the taxpayers thousands w/ all the salaries involved and other costs related to the physical structure and it's operation costs. I bet it would take her more than 10 days to work off 1 hour of a court's actual costs.

ROFL! I know I'm probably not supposed to laugh, but that was almost a Jerry Springer episode, and funny as hell....especially the look on the judge's face.
