Mother to all that now cries out to us. This was powerful, intense, beautiful and painful to watch. Our human perception of what constitutes riches is actually what is stripping them all away. Is it any wonder she nows cries for mercy?

And I want to add Jose' and Maria Da Silva and Sister Dorothy Stang to the list of dedicated brave people who gave their lives in standing up for this Earth in order to stand up for us.

Perhaps through the right frame of mind and understanding, humanity can maximize and increase the finite nature of what Earth can offer. In the wrong frame of mind we've done a great job of minimizing Earth's potential.

The earth is finite? It's 4.5 billion years old!

Warren_Merrill:
So? Yes of course it is finite - its resources are finite, its surface is finite even if one factors-in the matter it receives from space (meteorites and dust). Earth is not time, either, and no matter how old it is, it is not infinite nor eternal.

Warren_Merrill:
Yes it is finite, that means it has limits, bounds, and can be measured.
4.5 billion years is a lot of time but the universe is almost 14 billion years old, so the earth has not always existed and will not always exist. In 4-5 billion years the Andromeda galaxy will collide with the milky way galaxy, (our galaxy) and very likely destroy them both. - 10 months ago

In the past two centuries humans have managed to burn most of the carbon which has taken Earth 4.5 billion years to sequester into the ground!

Was it Clockwork Orange where the kid had his head fixed & his eyes kept open to watch a video? I'd like to do that to all the members of congress with this video.

Wow did you forget your meds today. Don't know if I would go for torture but the point of making the people that will degrade the hard won environmental laws and the subsequent improvement in the environment, and by extension our lives, watch this is a good one.
The people that want to go for the destruction of this planet to make another dollar are the pieces of shit. - 10 months ago

Aside from the fact that you second sentence made absolutely no sense. I think you are being irrational including your "meds" comment. WTF???

I appreciate what you are getting at, but why not also say (with the accompianing images of festering sores on innocent animals etc.) "she is cruel", "she is heartless", "she really doesn't give a shit".
It is up to us to make the best of what we have been given.
There is no "she".
