President Obama = Trojan Horse?

I don't think it's as simple as that. The forces arrayed against the man are phenomenal. The TParty, the irreligious right, the GOP, most of the south and west, FAUX News, Limbaugh, Hannity, the Koch Kids, big banks, corporations in addition to every damn hack left over from the Bush Administration. But let's face it, not only is he liberal, he's black, something that is driving the former ruling class (white males) insane. The LAST thing they want to see is a liberal black man fix the country THEY destroyed.

Still I have to admit I'm am confused by his actions and am beginning to think he's in over his head. He doesn't have the sheer force of will of Bill Clinton nor is he stupid strong like Bush. Also, and I don't like saying this, I fear he is very conscious of his skin color. He doesn't want to provoke the white dominated male society any more than his winning the election has. IF that's part of why he's folding I would encourage him to grow a pair. The ONLY thing the morons arrayed against him respect is power and he shouldn't be afraid to use it. He should do what Clinton did i.e. threaten to veto budgets and shut down the government if necessary to do what needs to be done for the economy. He should call out by name time and time again the individuals getting in the way of common sense policy. He should call out corporate lobbying as the biggest threat to democracy since WW II. In other words he should act like he's president and not an interloper in a white neighborhood. I'd love to see him stand up and kick some serious ass.

Yes, this is indeed true. I have slowly and reluctantly come to this realization. It pains me that too many of my fellow liberals are not informed enough to realize this too and who will make themselves voiceless by blindly voting for anyone with a "D" next to their name on the ballot.

No, I wont vote for a rethuglican, not even one dressed up like a democratic president. I and my fellow Liberals with a spine will be voting for a PROGRESSIVE canidate because we have principles and a spine to stand for them. Seems to me the people here who fear a republican resurgance are you centrist middle of the fucking road fair weather democrats who stand to loose the most the rest of us on the true left have had our hopes and ideals and progress striped from us an inch at a time since this so called democratic president took office so we realy dont see a whole lot of differance between the suffering we will have to endure under republican rule as opposed to the backstabing debasing humiliation and suffering we have endured under you milktoast centrist give away the farm and the cow bull shit. Impeaching the Supreme Court 5 would be a start in the right direction for this country. The country is going downhill faster than it has ever been and it all started in August of 1981 thanks to the great God Ronald Reagan.

At a time when we needed courage, someone who wasn't afraid to be hated, we choose to elect the first half-black man. So he's got that whole legacy thing around his neck, as well as his enormous ego - that is what guides his decisions.

That is what will keep him from even considering the right option for this country - to step down.

People need to stop acting like disowning a person they voted for is like disowning their own child. I am a progressive, and I am embarrassed by fellow "progressives" who are not seriously questioning Obama. Progressives who refuse to question Obama are as bad as the Bush supporters that stuck with him to the bitter end. Perhaps he looks conservative because the conservatives have threatened to allow terrible consequences for the American people to happen if Obama does not go their way. It is a mistake to thank Obama for paying the ransom. Even when he pays the ransom it just turns a fast trip to hell into a slower one. He is either a conservative, dumb or a coward. None of the above are satisfactory in times like these. Obama has already lost the undecideds, so we might as well look for a progressive to challenge both him and whomever the republicans send our way. This current presidency required a person who was willing to risk being a one term president by doing what had to be done and not being the neo-con's b*tch. Instead, Obama has failed by being their b*tch in the name of retaining office and it has actually hurt his chances of reelection. I am starting to think the conservatives (minus the racist/birther ones) were as right about Obama as we were about Bush.

People are either not paying attention to or don't understand what is happening. If it were broken down into layman's terms and explained as simply this. Corporations have decided America as we know it will no longer exist and they have put in place people to bring this about. I believe Obama is one step away from the final death sentence for America. they have already taken over our Congress, our Courts and our State governments so the only thing left is the Presidency and this test run will show them just how far they can go before people will erupt(if ever) and fight back. Obama's second term will be the final straw of america as we know it.

Thank you for posting this nardo, I came to the same conclusion a few weeks ago; he's not a centrist, he's not a democrat, and he sure as hell is not a progressive!
