Just recently, Standard & Poors (S&P) downgraded America’s credit rating from AAA to AA+. The main factor that was given for the downgrade was because of the “degree of uncertainty around the political policy process…the nature of the debate and the difficulty in framing a political consensus” In other words, because of the Tea Party’s inability to compromise – the U.S. will face this impasse in the future.
Congratulations America!! You voted these nut jobs into office and if you didn’t vote at all-you might has well just have voted for them. Why did you do this to our country? Was it because of your racist hatred for the President or was it apathy that did it to you. No matter the reason, you guys fucked up!! Now interest rates will go up. In laymen’s terms, prices will go up on everything- food, gas, mortgage rates on credit cards, home mortgage, car loans, and student loans- Catch my drift. It will be like we are living overseas where everything is small and expensive (no value for your buck). You really did it this time.

We have a budget problem. I want to see more people sent to Washington who don't know how Washington works. I'm sick of how Washington works. I'm sick of business as usual. Even the debt ceiling legislation was business as usual. There weren't any spending cuts. There was only Washington fuzzy math where they cut 5% and don't tell the American public the 5% cut comes after an automatic 10% increase in the budget.

Get rid of money backed interests in the body politic and the system will have something else to do rather than chase campaign money, perks and positional prestige. Thoughtless think tanks and false advertising provided by malignant groups all bought and paid for by corporations provide pap for the masses. Until the majority of people start thinking for themselves and quit feeding their brains with mental junk food we are doomed to repeat the past over and over. KNOCK! KNOCK! ''Who's there'' ''TIME!'' ''Time who?'' ''TIME TO WAKE UP, DAMMIT!''

"In the midterm election of 2010, the American public decided to elect Republicans to Congress thereby sending a message to President Obama in an effort to slow down his agenda."
------------------
This is the most ludicrous statement I've read on Current in a long time, and that is saying a lot.
++++++++++
FIRST PART: "In the midterm election of 2010, the American public decided to elect Republicans to Congress..."
WRONG. The truth is Obama so alienated, across the board, the voting groups who made him president in 2008 that there was a precipitous rise in expected Democratic voters who just did not bother to go to the polls to vote for anything or anybody. This may be the rise of a new class of apathetic voters, and that is bad news for the Dems if it is.
I predicted in August 2009 that Obama, if he did not change his voter-back-stabbing ways and stop kissing ass to the GOP and the neocons, the Dems would lose at least the House and perhaps the House and the Senate. Even by August 2009, Obama had alienated the independents and white female voters, two groups who are not easily won back. People cast dispursions upon my prediction, but you know what? I was correct.
+++++++++
SECOND PART: "...thereby sending a message to President Obama in an effort to slow down his agenda."
WRONG. The message sent to Obama was "We're not your doormats, President Dipshit. You play your bait-and-switch scam on us, promising us one thing and delivering the opposite, if you bother to deliver anything at all, and you'll not see us voting for you in the future."
++++++++++
While I appreciate your desperation in trying to apologistize for Obama, it won't wash. You cannot shift Obama's blame onto his 2008 voters--that's like blaming the victims.
But, since you are the first Obama Apologist I've encountered in a long time, you qualify for your own personal Apologist Bingo Card.

Keep trying to rewrite history. It will not work. I KNOW FOR A FACT who almost single handedly destroyed this country and continues to do so: the traitorious Tea baggers and their Republican taliban partners. Demoncrats did not create this deficit. Neither did they get us into 2 usless wars. You want to make our country better? You get rid of the corporate lackeys and let true progressive policies rule. When they do, there may be more spending and higher taxes, but there are no deficits, and you don't have to pay a higher toll on that bridge.
Besides, if you hate government spending and taxes, don't use any of the services our taxes pay for. If you do, you are behaving like a hypocrite. Simply go out into the woods with your gun and your knife and hunt your for your own food and don't expect anything from the government who will gladly free you up from taxes so it isn't obligated to even lift a finger to help you or yours.
As for Obama, he is a breath of fresh air from 8 years of one of the biggest morons we ever had for president, and anyone who thinks Bush was great is truly has no memory.

As I see it, Americans have a colossal problem with 2 essentials:
Mindfulness, and carefulness. We've accepted calling the private
central bank owned by an international foreign Usery cartel as if
it were the (U.S.) Federal Government, so mindlessly, carelessly
the sheeple call it the " Fed ", and it doesn't help matters any that
the media uses both interchangeably, when they know that's false.
Likewise it's NOT the Tea party, God damn it. It's the T.E.A. party,
which as we all should know by now was a contrivance of the
infamous Koch Bros villains who manipulated all the trouble in
Wisconsin. One shithead even told me smugly " I'll be drinking tea "
when he had no idea in his pumpkin head what the fuck he was
blabbering on about. The T.E.A. party is the name the Koch Bros
gave their misbegotten stupid sheeple because they safely assumed
people would liken them to the colonial Boston Tea Party. Be careful. The Boston Tea Party was comprised of Massachusetts colonists
who disguised themselves as Indians, then rowed some longboats
out to British East Indies trade ships carrying a cargo of tea from
India or China. The colonists were anarchists & dumped the cargo
overboard because King George levied an oppressive tax on tea
consumption to finance his wars with France that had left him bank
rupt. He considered American colonists as serfs and so dumped his
bill on them to pay for his war. No taxation without Representation
started from that era precipitating the American Revolutionary War
because of all the other Crown abuses such as writs of assistance,
quartering soldiers F.O.B.in colonist's homes etc. We've really got
a bad education problem in this country. But you know ? It really all
stems from something so simple and obvious that most everyone
misses it even when it's staring them in their faces. As Mark Twain
said: " It's not what people know to be true that causes insurmountable
evils. It's what people know to be false, yet accept as true anyway
which will always be their own undoing " So we can all carry on as
though it's all make believe, and pretend. I'm sure lots of talentless
people have some undaunted secret desire to break into Show Biz.
But when the sheeple see their country sinking beneath the crime
waves, and they realize they're not going to be paid for their pathetic
amateur acting ability, maybe they'll wake up before they're penniless
and start looking in their mirror and do some soul searching to see if
they contributed to the colossal stupidity that made them sheeple.^ed. - 10 months ago

I was with you till you got to the part about your premonitions....the Feds just said interest rates will be held low thru 2013.....so that is good. There is just too much on Obama's plate and Congress Dems are being pantywastes for some reason....what is their problem? In order for Obama to get anything done like FDR did during the depression.....he has to have a congress that stands behind him and he doesn't have that......we gotta get those aholes out of there fast that are holding progress up.....everyone blames the president, but he took on a job that would kill a normal person with the stress and dilemnas that this country is under right now....and the tea party needs to go.....they are a bunch of nuts and haven't a clue.....Ronald Reagan has already rolled over 20 times since they were elected!!!!! I agree completely that this country needs rid of all the looneys that have crawled out of the woodwork tho!!!!!!!!!!!!! Repubs are bad enough....but these nuts are just way over the top!!!!!!!!! I really was mad after the election and since then even more so that enough people that voted Obama in didnt get their butts out and get him a congress elected he could work with so we could move forward instead of this crazy dance we seem to be doing now!! We gotta do better in 2012 that is all there is to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree and the sad part is that he gets it from both sides. He's not progressive enough from the left - he's a Socialist/Fascist (whatever the flavor of the day) from the GOP. He gets blamed for all the ilks of the world - it is always his fault. You couldn't pay me enough money to have his job and I really think because he cares about the country is the only reason he is willing to run again and continue to suffer the abuse. Remember Johnson gave up after he twisted everybody's arms to get the Civil Rights Bill passed and refused to run again.
With Clinton, the GOP had his indegretions to use against him, the only thing was no one cared because he never ran on being holier-than-thou. With Obama the 'right' doesn't have a scandal to use so if they are going to regain power they need to ensure the economy doesn't recover.
After tonight's election results in Wisconsin, you can see what "Citizens United" has done to the political landscape. I certainly hope the Democrats have as deep of pockets as the GOP/Koch/ALEC/Rove groups have, because the spending in the recall elections was unbelievable. Just imagine if they used that money to create jobs instead of spending it on defeating Democrats.
I hope the Progressive grass roots movement get their act together, stop the infighting, support this President and concentrate on defeating the GOP or all will be lost. If the GOP win they will privatize everything which will result in low paying jobs, no job security, and no job safety, along with no Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. It will be worst than Orwell ever imagine when he wrote 1984.

Sometimes I think that this is a deliberate attempt to make him look bad. They should be emphasizing his strengths, instead of making unfactual statements concerning his leadership.
President Obama is accustom to getting stabbed in the back, by his so-called allies.

I'm with you. I have almost stop watching MSNBC because my blood boils every time I hear some "so-called expert" claim they have all the solutions and say the President should do this or that.
These people in the Clinton Administration who claim they have all the answers, forget that things weren't as contentious when Clinton was President. They forget that he moved to the middle after he lost congress in the mid-term election during his first term. He also compromised to get things done. He brought the country DADT and made changes to medicare in order to get what he wanted. He also failed to get his health care plan through congress.
What did Obama get when he compromised with a much worse congress and a 24 hour news cycle? During his first term he got changes to health care that no Democratic President had been able to do that helps millions of citizens, not to mention all the progressive bills he signed in the first year and a half of his Presidency. What is he blamed for? Not getting the Public Option. And how was he rewarded for all his efforts? By giving him a dysfunctional congress that is managing to bring down the whole country while progressives complain that he isn't progressive enough.
These progressives complain that he gave into the 'right' during his negotiation this year. However he extended unemployment benefits and got a payroll tax holiday for the middle class, got DADT repealed, saved the big three from being gutted by the extreme right, got the right to agree to his treaty with Russia approved. He may have failed on the "Dream Act" but that was because democrats in congress reneged, but they blame that on him.
Even though Boehnor claims that the 'right' got 98% of what they wanted during their fake crisis on the debt ceiling, they didn't. They are only saying that to make the 'left' believe that Obama gave in to all their demands. If they got 98% of what they wanted Social Security would be privatized, medicare would be a voucher program, and medicaid would be gone.
There are people on the left that say Obama should be impeached because they think he hasn't fought hard enough. If anyone needs to be impeached, it should be the extreme 'right-wing' activists Judges on SCOTUS who decided Bush won in 2000 when he didn't; who made law (which they don't have the authority to do) by bringing the country "Citizens United".
Progressive have got to be realistic in their expectations. The economy was worst then anyone knew in 2008. In fact, it was probably as close to a depression as the country has seen since the Great Depression. Since the Bush Administration lied to him about how bad thing really were the actions he took from saving the country from falling off a cliff in 2009 is amazing. People have to remember that you are not going to solve all the problems caused by eight years of a bad Administration over-night. It will probably take years. If people want the country to go in the right direction, then give him people in congress that are willing do that.

The president needs to lead the people, not the House. If he leads the people then if the House doesn't vote the way people want they lose the next election. The problem is the people don't believe in Obama. All he does is blame others for the situation. He's not a leader.
Reagan had to deal with a Democratic controlled house. He fought and fought with Tip O'Neil. But Reagan took the debate to the people and won over the House.

I call BULLSHIT..The "TEA PARTY" is just part of the overall Wall Street scam Obama did and does exactly what his Wall Street Masters tell him to do...The Tea Party thing is there just to deflect public opinion off of Obama's agenda. The Tea Party is also A clever ruse to take the heat off of the ALEK agenda, which is the Obama agenda,,,Google ALEC and learn up on the Corporate-Kleptocracy's true agenda over the last 30 years!!!

Obama was elected with a golden mandate of voters from a wide swath of demographic voting groups.
And what did he do? Did he use that mandate to hit the ground running, implementing as much as he could while the GOP was still humbled?
NO. President Back-Stabbing Asshole took that mandate and proceeded to bend and curtsey to the GOP, allowing them to repeatedly humiliate him (and, by extension, us, his 2008 voters), until Obama finally convinced the GOP they still ran Congress...which they still believe to this day.
Obama's pathetic yearning to be BFFs with the GOP ended up MAKING Eric Cantor a power to be reckoned with. Cantor was fucking NOTHING until Obama allowed Cantor to slap him around two or three times, while Obama continued to bend over for him.
Obama made secret back-door deals with the GOP, where he LOCKED OUT THE HOUSE DEMOCRATS WE elected to work for us in Congress. Obama mad concessions before the GOP even ASKED.
Obama has spent 90% of his time in office doing the bidding of the GOP, 8% doing the bidding of his family, and the voters who made him president are lucky if he or his toadies don't insult us publicly when we voice our anger.
Meanwhile, I watch my fellow Democrats make excuses for bullshit that, when GWBush did it they bitched to high heaven about.
Obama has destroyed our nation. He had a chance to turn it around, but he took the power we gave him in 2008 and used it to serve the GOP and the neocons.

A cowardly one unlike you. That is plain for all to see.
You are by far the most intellectually intimidating tough person I have ever crossed words with. I may close my account right now for fear of finding myself at the wrong end of your wrath again. It's clearly evident from your many brilliant posts on this thread that you are a mental giant. You say smart things like "you cant fix STUPID", I agree that's a lost cause.
You also said
"This all comes from people that don't read books, don't learn from history and get their NEWS from the MSM television...."
That is very deep but not altogether accurate.
Usually stupidity does come from non readers, but not always. There are exceptions. Not implying "you" of all people may be one, to the contrary, I'm sure you do a lot of reading. I don't know about the book part though. Book readers tend to express themselves with a certain style that frankly; is not present in your written word. That fact however, does not appear to impair you in the least. Bravo!
Case in point.
Repeating the obvious is technically correct but not exactly indicative of discernment, or intellectual capacity, which puzzles me to no end in your case. But hey! I'm just, how was it you put it? "A mindless, neophite, idiot" which of course would explain my conundrum. The weak of mind are simply not equipped for some levels of discourse, which manifests in foot in mouth syndrome. I try to go easy on the feeble minded.
A minor point but true all the same.
But never fear, I will devote some time to sharpening my debating skills. I certainly don't want to have this type of event repeat itself. You have thoroughly eviscerated me with your wit, and completely disarmed me with your intellect.
Your command of the English language is so impressive, that I shudder at the mere though of you maundering through this missive with a modicum of "critique" coursing through your indescribably complex synaptic network. A scary thought
Fully cognizant of where and when I have been bested by a superior being, I graciously cede to you the remainder of my pathetic time on this thread; that you may properly and thoroughly insult me, as I suspect your previous dose of verbal scatology was just not enough for the likes of me.
The last word is on me huckleberry.
Have at it, no response will be offered. I'll catch you later. You win!

Thanks for the upbeat music. We need that these days. Yes, thing have really gotten rocky around here lately.
It's sad when Progressives start turning on each other. Never mind the trolls. These young uns forget what it was like back in the so called 'good old days' when minorities and women were told to stay in their places and don't rock the boat. They don't know how long it took to accomplish all we did to improve life for the middle class. They are so impatient that they expected Obama to snap his fingers and everything would be right with the world. When that didn't happen they started to claim he's a closet Republican.
Turd Blossom and his ilk have certainly done a good job again getting the left to eat itself. The GOP are really good at dividing and conquering. They love it when people are scared and they want to keep it that way.
I'm in the process of providing a 'Special Comment' for Kennymotown's Show and will send it to you when I'm done. It will have to be written as I do not have video capabilities right now, but I hope it will be up to snuff for Kenny to read.

"I worked with psychos in a mental ward years ago"
Have you seen the 1966 movie The King of Hearts with Alan Bates? The psychos were the sane people.
If anyone wants to see a funny movie with anti war symbolism check out this movie. It's available on NetFlix .....
Charles Plumpick (Bates) is a kilt-wearing Scottish soldier who is sent by his commanding officer to disarm the bomb.
When Plumpick enters the town, he unknowingly leaves the door to the insane asylum open while being chased by the Germans. When the Germans have left the town, all of the inmates leave the asylum and playfully take over the town. The lunatics crown Plumpick King of Hearts with surreal pageantry as he frantically tries to find the bomb before it goes off.
The film ends with the question of who is more insane, those in the asylum or the soldiers on the battlefield.

People have to recognize that gridlock does not work. The teabaggers, with the help of Corporate America lied to get elected. They promised jobs, they said that Obama Care would hurt medicare, they convinced the people that actually voted that they could do a better job then the Democrats. Instead all they really want to do is bring down the federal government. "Starve the Beast!"
I hope there is a lot of buyers' remorse for voting them into office since they have not done anything since being sworn in except to destroy the country. It is not just at the federal level either. All the GOP controlled State governments are doing the exact same thing.
If people still want a country (if it's not too late) then vote in 2012 and make sure whomever you vote for is really out to save the middle class and restore America to the once great country is was. Otherwise, they will privatize everything and if you think unemployment is bad now, it will get much worse. There will only be low paying jobs with no job security or safety regulations to protect workers.

Your insinuation that the Tea Party "displayed their bitter disdain for the President" due to his race is a blatant lie designed to demean the Tea Party and play politics. Regarding the reason for the downgrade, one can believe idiots such as Biden and Kerry or one can read what S&P said to wit: it was the lack of a significant reduction in spending and the prospect of more of the same in the future. Had the Cut, Cap and Balance of Paul Ryan been passed the downgrade would not have happened. Of course the two didiots listed above chose to label good Americans as Terrorists rather than looking at the real causes, policies they believe in. HOpefully we will be able to vote more of the real nut jobs out of office in November 2012.

You need to get educated. The Tea Party started as a fiscal responsibility/anti tax grass roots effort in Chicago after a rant by Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago Merchantile Exchange. Tea Parties continued to pop up at the grass roots level following the Chicago Tea Party. There isn't even an official Tea Party. There are several organizations.

The Tea Baggers: a group of extremist traitors who should be tried and then executed as painfully as possible. When the second civil war arrives, I will take great pleasure in shooting as many of these mother------- as I can.
I hope none of them are using tax payer paid services like public roads or bridges. Only tax payers are allowed to use these facillities. I hope that when they get ripped off by criminals they don't call the cops. Only tax payers should be allowed to use police.
The tea baggers are a bunch of selfish extremists who want to keep all their money to themselves and the rest of the country be damned. You don't have spending and taxes, there is no growth to our economy, and the rich, no matter how little they pay in taxes, wil never create jobs.

Warren, I hope that I am wrong. Yet, I can list right here right now all the reasons why I hate the tea baggers and feel they are traitors who are threats to our country. I can list right here and now all the reasons I feel the Republican party is a threat to everything that I stand for as an American. I can list here right now with facts that show at least to me why Republicans are hypocrites.
I have aleady posted concrete reasons why I fear these Republicans. Yet again, if you need me to give you details, I wil gladly do that. As above, I hope that I am wrong, but I truly fear for this country. One of the reasons all of these states controlled by Republicans are attacking unions is they know these are the major support of the Democratic party. Kill the unions, they suppose, and you kill the Democratic party. What is a one party system but a dictatorship
I hope that I am wrong, but just in case as I've never owned a fire arm, I think it is time to stock pile some fire arms for home protection. I'll be ready when the civil war starts, and I will be fighting for the DONNERS and for the UNION. MEEEEKAAAAWWEEEEKALP!

S&P said they considered the outlook to be "negative" after the downgrade due to the failure to erase the current tax rates (instituted by Bush and continued by Obummer). They also said, " Lawmakers agreed on Aug. 2 to raise the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt ceiling and put in place a plan to enforce $2.4 trillion in spending reductions over the next 10 years, less than the $4 trillion S&P had said it preferred."
Additionally, "S&P also changed its assumption that the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush would expire by the end of 2012 “because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues.”So what &P said is that the current downgrade was due to a failure to reduce the future debt enough and the future is "negative" due to the factor you mentioned.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-08-06/u-s-credit-rating-cut-by-s-p-for-first-...
The lack of revenue was not germane to the downgrade but may be germane to another or a reversal if "revenue" is not changed in the future.
I hesitate to refer to tax confiscation as "revenue" as that work implies the production of something and the government produces nothing but in this age of dishonesty and calling a spade an efficient earth moving device we will refer to tax confiscation as ......revenue. - 10 months ago

I think all of this is off the issue. I am sure as you say there are thugs on all sides. But this is what frightens me: President Rich Perry and V.P. Michelle Bachmann. In the months and years ahead:
1. Roe V. Wade is Overturned.
2. EPA, USDA, VA, FAA, DOE are all disbanded.
3. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are privatized.
4. Only sex between married spouses of the opposite sex is allowed. Only one position, the missionary position, is allowed. Oral sex or anal sex is prohibted on pain of death by chi chi.
5. Only one religion is allowed. And Atheism or other beliefs will be outlawed
7. Certain books will be burned deemed Satan's work.
8. Ophra Winfrey will be outlawed.
10. Jews will be hunted down, persecuted, and even exterminated to force them to move to Israel.
11. Corporations will be considered human beings.
12. No masturbation allowed.
13. There will only be one political party.
14. There will be no labor unions
15. There will be no middle class
16. Human slavery will return
17. There will be forced prayer in school
18. Only wealthy people will be able to afford education which used to be free for all in the old publc school days.
19. All privacy eliminated.
20. Only rectal thermometors allowed.
This is the only issue, union thugs or no, for me. One party supports totalitarianism and the Democrats for all their weaknesses don't.
THAT IS THE ONLY ISSUE TO ME.
I hate to say this, but we have a class war going on now. It is the result of years of Republican policy that favored the rich over the rest of us. As evidenced at the end of the last decade, these policies did not create jobs but instead helped create the deficit . I am traumatized by what the corporations and their Republican Tea Bagger backers have done to this country. Inflicting any kind of wound whether physical or not is still an act of war.
I hope I am wrong and the voters wake up before it is too late. I don't believe anyone can take over this country without a fight. I would be surprised if I woke up tomorrow morning to a coup. The slide into the next civil war will come if we do not change the policy that favors the rich. that oppresses the workers, that denies the social safety net, that blurrs the distinction between church and state, that taints the supreme court with activists right wing justices, and that denies climate change. Continue down the same path, civil war will come. If not now, maybe within fifty years or less.
In the meantime, I sure hope that I am wrong, and all this is a product of my Orwell obsessed mind set.

(basically because he’s African –American)
LOL wrong.
We're broke because we are borrowing to fund the Middle East wars and with very little fiscal responsibility from either party. The "Tea Party" is nothing; a fake grassroots movement that was a media invention created to derail a legitimate and potentially effective populous non-partisan grassroots political movement.
Many people opposed Obama for being a corporate tool who said he wouldn't appoint lobbyists to his administration, then went back on his word and filled nearly ever one with someone associated with Goldman Sachs or other Wall Street institutions.
We also opposed him for carrying over two of the most important people from the Bush administration (Fed Reserve Ben Bernanke and Defense Secretary Robert Gates) and basically continued Bush's policy of unpholding endless wars and supporting Congress' outrageous constitutional violations.
We can play the blame game, or we can grow up and geralize that both parties are corrupt and controlled and that we the people are being held captive by a financial dictatorship called The Federal Reserve Private Banking Institution, that we are being terrorized and propagandized into complacency by a Jewish-dominated media, and that we are forced into wars by the military industrial complex, which starts wars for corporate profit that have zero benefit for the American people.

This isn't helpful, lol. We don't need to waste time smashing the Republicans after the fact. We can point out that the effects of this will last past the time of Obama; that shooting Obama in the foot is shooting ourselves in the foot. However, to point out the obvious is hardly what's needed. We can recognize a fault in the system we are told to have faith in, working towards a better option. Still, this is too similar to the problem that started this mess, so it doesn't help.

A lot of blame to go around, I think. However, we need to do in all the states and in Washington what they are doing in Wisconsin. As I write this, I do not know if the Democrats will win, but I do know that, win or lose, the people in EVERY state need to take to the streets, peacefully, and demand that the government on all levels listen to US instead of the bulging pockets (you know, the ones full of promises but only up to no good). The Tea Poisoners must be met with protests from real grassroots groups who can scream louder and come up with more intelligent signs (spellcheck would help) than they can.

Possibly, but I question whether many simply did not vote to return dems to their offices because they had failed to act and deliver when "America" had given them the golden opportunity to do so. Whether they were blue dog dems or reprehensibles in dem clothing, they didn't do their jobs, and Obama wasn't exactly on the floor of congress urging them to vote for "universal health care". We have what we have by default, not design. While it's true some may have knee jerked Repubilcans into office, I believe that not rewarding impotent and traitorous dems had as much to do with the elections as anything else. I don't blame America for that, it's high time they insist on accountability from their elected ones. Consider it tough love.
P.S., if it facilitates total financial collapse and mass revolution, so the better. i'd like to see it start now so we can truly reform government tomorrow, because it will NEVER happen on the course we are going.
