During this part, Clinton refers to Rick Perry as a "good-looking rascal" and says widespread denunciation of the federal government is "crazy" and leads to policies that will hurt the economy.

I think the funniest thing I've heard so far was Mr. Secessionist questioning President Obama's "love for America".

Rick Perry is scary. One can't just overlook his prayer stunt last week as it clearly only included Christians. No one else was invited. So, he starts with a Texas sized attitude that he'll clean things up and as I read it; if you ain't christian, you better think about gett'n outta dodge!
Just what we need, more intolerance which makes us look so good to the rest of the world. I know, I know, Rick Perry "Fuck the rest of the world."

Smart guy, President Clinton. Keen observer. Able to see how the dots connect. Rick Perry (and the entire Republican "presidential" field: light weights, dim wits, blind guides.

NAFTA as it was originally conceived was not a bad thing. In the early 90's we were looking for ways to import food cheaply and it also meant providing for the livelyhoods of many less developed nations. The GOp could not help themselves they just had to Fuck it up. It is what they do

I can partly agree wynnmeg61... But by doing so, we put poor farmers down south in an even worse situation, so many of them came to work here, not making much more money than they would have back home, the only difference was back then our dollar was worth three times a Peso...

I have watched very many manufacturers move to mexico and south america. I don't think that NAFTA is even the primary reason that they come north. Oh that too KB, I am not naive about the opium trade out of Afghanastan. However we cannot produce the desired amount of bud in the country. Hell, I myself think that the war on drugs should go the way of prohibition. That being said, the original intent of NAFTA was not what it has developed into. Big Money can always figure out how to turn gold into shit. NAFTA is very much like TARP, the taxpayer paid the piper and the piper turned around and raped the taxpayer. I think we should regulate the hell out of all the financial industry too.

My sister worked for a defense contractor for 30 years, until she got breast cancer, They laid her off 2 weeks after she returned from treatment. She was lucky enough to have retirement savings until she qualified for Medicare, but that means she has to use most of her retirement until she is eligible for her SS. Her supervisor was in tears, but he did as he was told. It's sad that human suffering means nothing to these people.

It's about what we have in Texas. We are a state with the highest uninsured and the jobs offered either don't offer insurance or doesn't cover severe illness. You have to pay extra for cancer insurance, but you cannot get coverage if you have been diagnosed. That's one thing that the new law would stop.
