Flashback to 1971 to put this tragic situation in perspective. It was
the year Nixon severed the last link that tied the U.S. dollar to Gold.
From 1792 through 1933, the price of Gold was stable at $20, a
troy oz. After 40% of the Treasury Gold Bullion coins in circulation
were hijacked & smuggled into Swiss & French Banks following the
insider traded manipulated stock market crash...(it was this exodus
of money to foreign lands that caused 35-40% unemployment and
the Great Depression )...FDR declared a bank holiday during the
panic to keep the banks from failing, then devalued the dollar to
60 cents worth of Silver, and reclaimed the rem circuating Gold
to store in Fort Knox where the Army could guard it. In 1944 in the
Bretton Woods, New Hampshire accord the U.S. agreed it would
still redeem Gold for $40 a troy Z for the central banks of any country
whose currency value was pegged to the U.S. Though JFK tried to
stop the Federal Reserve's unlawful dominance in substituting for
U.S.Treasury Notes to curtail an out of control national debt which
had burgeoned since 1957, he was Murdered, then E.O.11100
allowing blue seal Silver certificates to redeem Treasury reserves
of Silver was changed to a 6 year phaseout of 40% Silver 1/2 dollars.
. From the mid 60s on, the cost of the Vietnam War, and the expanding
U.S.military presence throughout the world exhausted the U.S.' ability
to continue to redeem Gold at $40 a Z. The flooding of FRS notes
around the world devalued the dollar so badly because essentialy
currency was being counterfeited that the USA was broke. That was
40 years ago. The continued collossal military overspending has
ballooned the debt to a whopping $66 Trillion" secret " national debt.
And caused another Great Depression Stateside. Yet the military
industrial complex which has such extreme gravity it would probably
sink to the center of the earth on it's own if we didn't hold it up, drains
over 53% of every tax dollar, and an additional $100 Billion each yr.
For what ? To support Corporate Piracy to loot Afghanistan of it's
natural resources. They couldn't get away with their loot w/o lots of
guns covering them. And what do the people get ? A bad attitude
that life is cheap. And when the only jobs available are military jobs
in which people are put in harms way...Lots of empty graves. We
couldn't afford it in 1965. They knew that. They didn't care. They
were out of control. They're still out of control worse than ever before.
