Yes, they do see political advantage in beating up their constituents. They seem to think that we have to vote for them no matter what they do. Constantly caving in to rethuglican demands, putting the safety net on the table, ignoring the resurgence of labor in this country, etc. He's continually losing support of the independents and the right won't vote for him under any circumstances. And of course, they will come to us and ask for their support next year, even after
