HomeWait. What? Blackwater? That private, for-profit, trigger-happy army that killed 17 civilians in Nisour Square in Baghdad in 2007? Yeah. THAT BLACKWATER.
I have just confirmed with Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1104 that Blackwater is indeed being contracted by Verizon for security purposes. At this moment, CWA Local 1104 was not able to say how many security contractors have been hired or where they will be working. I'm sure more information will follow.
Blackwater, now called Xe, is considered to be the world's largest and most powerful mercenary army. In 2004, they had 2,300 men actively deployed around the world and another 20,000 contractors ready to go. They claim that they have trained tens of thousands of security personnel since 1998.
In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, The Nation's Jeremy Scahill reported that , “I saw Blackwater mercenaries speeding up and down the streets in unmarked cars, heavily armed with M4 machine guns, flak jackets, other weapons strapped to their legs.
Right now verizon is attemting to take back a list of over 100 benefits it has promised it's workers over the last 30+ years . The company is not going under ..They made record earnings this last year. The money they take back from these workers and already retired workers will not go back to the people it will go to Verizon .They simply want more money . They have gotten injuctions to severely limit the rights of the workers on strike. These limits include every thing from not being able to record what is happening to them to simply the numbers of people allowed to strike . Now verizon has hired black water. I have to ask to do what ? Since the striking workers have no way to get this information out there the list of injustices being done to them is mounting . EVERYONE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION IF VERIZON GETS AWAY WITH THIS WHOS JOB IS NEXT YOURS . MAYBE YOUR GRANDPARENTS BENEFITS,OR WORSE THE CONDITIONS YOUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH

sue4e3:
A rumor or rumour is often viewed as an unverified account or explanation of events circulating from person to person and pertaining to an object, event, or issue in public concern. However, a review of the research on rumor conducted by Pendleton in 1998 found that research across sociology, psychology, and communication studies had widely varying definitions of rumor.[2] Thus, rumor is a concept that lacks a particular definition in the social sciences. But most theories agree that rumor involves some kind of a statement whose veracity is not quickly or ever confirmed. In addition, some scholars have identified rumor as a subset of propaganda, the latter another notoriously difficult concept to define.

Google News search for Blackwater+Verizion reveals nothing... Jeremy Scahil, writer from The Nation, who knows so much about Blackwater that they probably want him dead, is totally silent on this. Hmmmmm....
