Ron Paul Exploding through the Republican Primary. Even though he seems to be the Front Runner, the media refuses to even acknowledge that he exists. Even despite Rons finish in the Iowa Straw Poll which was 2nd by less than 1%. Jon Stewart, CNN, FOX news, Alex Jones, Jack Cafferty all speak on why we need to vote for Ron Paul. This is meant to be a inspirational video showing Ron Pauls predictions that have come true.

We cant continue to be a welfare state, we need to get up and start making the changes we want to see in this world not just sit back and wait for the check.
I do believe we need to take care of our sick, poor, and elderly. But if we slip into a military state revolution will happen and no one will get taken care of for decades.
So far Ron Paul has been the only candidate to say what really needs to be changed.

I think that you are confused about the issues. Social Security/Medicare are not welfare programs. These programs were designed as a safety net for aging Americans who pay into the programs. They are not asking for a handout, they only want what is rightfully theirs.
Ron Paul is a typical Conservative, who advocates welfare for the rich, by giving them tax-cuts and loop-holes.
He is out of touch with what most Americans want, and that is to be gainfully employed, have affordable health-care, and to be able to educate their children.
Ron Paul will never be president!

For what? Continuing the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? Starting new wars in Libya? For someone who has a tag name of "letsliveinpeace" you surely have delusions of grandeur as to what our President really is. The only thing I give Obama credit for is that he allowed me to stay on my parents insurance for a little while longer.

Obama will end the wars that Bush started. Libya will soon be over. He didn't put boots on the ground and no Americans were killed .He didn't start a war, he was part of the UN..He should be respected because he is the president of the United States and respect for the office he holds. He allowed you to stay on your parents heath insurance because it is part of Obama care.

    • Obama is Wall Street's puppet; his economic policy is the same as Bush's and he's continuing & expanding Bush's wars. I'd rather see decentralized free market capitalism under Ron Paul, than the corporate cronyism and big government fascism that continues to consolidate itself in Washington.

Obama has done NOTHING but take orders from Kissinger, Soros, Brzezinski, the Pentagon, the CFR, etc. He is a figurehead, a corporate mascot in a re-branding campaign for the USA. His purpose is to help pacify the population with false "hope" while the looting & enslavement of the people accelerates. I almost wish we still had Bush around - maybe then there would still be an anti-war movement.

And what are these comments about, "Oh no, he'd cut back on bureaucracy!" Do you really care? What does the Department of Education do for you? Do we really need centralized state bureaucrats in order to educate our kids? Do teachers, parents, and local school boards need to take orders from think tanks and politicians? Are we that helpless and dependent?

Do we need the FBI? The DEA? The INS? The IRS? The NSA? Homeland Security? The TSA? These agencies exist to do the bidding of their masters - NOT the people at large.

Well, for example, I would like an agency to oversee wall street, as to ensure that they can't steal money hand over fist from their investors. I understand that happens under the current system, but how does effectively doing nothing help? I think agencies that work for the benefit of public health, education and stability should be the cornerstone of any real "civilization". I understand many of our current institutions are bogged down in corruption and bureaucracy, but again, how does eliminating a good idea make it any better or more efficient?!

I thought a government was supposed to be representative of its people, to protect them as best as possible and to help them not only to survive, but to flourish. To flourish, we need a structure to grow upon, and that structure in composed of agencies and institutions.

I agree with some of what you have to say, but this conservative idea that government agencies are useless is seriously flawed.

    • Ron Paul is a mixed bag, in need of more research before i make a real decision. I've seen things said in these forums about RP by more extremist liberals, and those things get shot down with honest facts and a little explanation. I like many things about RP, and at the same time some of his stances seam very different than mine. Like i say, I will admit some ignorance on this subject, but the man has always had my respect for his honesty and candor, I guess even if its hard to know what he thinks at times with out diligent research, lol. Hmmm.

If Obama ok's this XL pipeline, I hate ultimatums, but i think that's my last straw. After that, I really don't know what I'll do, as far as voting. Hate to say it, but I'll probably give up on the system, and focus my political energies squarely on helping to change the paradigm entirely.

      Try some of these facts!

      He is..

      Anti-CHOICE..

      Against antitrust laws...

      Anti OSHA...

      Anti-minimum wage...

      Anti-mandatory Social Security contributions.

-- He opposes the right of women to be free to control their own bodies if they happen to live in particular states or other countries, or if they work for the Peace Corps.

H.R.1095. H.R.777, H.R.1548: To prohibit any Federal official from expending any Federal funds for any population control or population planning program or any family planning activity.

      --------

-- He wants to erase the distinction in U.S. law between a zygote and a person

H.R.2597: To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.

      --------

-- He would deny the use of the Federal courts to people discriminated against because of their religious beliefs or sexual orientation. This would also limit the cross-state recognition of same-sex marriages. He cynically calls this the "We the People Act".

H.R.300: To limit the jurisdiction of the Federal courts, and for other purposes.

      ---------

-- Even though he claims to be a "libertarian", he opposes people's freedom to burn or destroy their own copies of the design of the U.S. flag.

H.J.RES.80: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States authorizing the States to prohibit the physical destruction of the flag of the United States and authorizing Congress to prohibit destruction of federally owned flags.

-- RON PAUL has tried to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act:

H.R.2310: A bill to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

      ----------

-- He would like to make it much easier to decertify labor unions:

H.R.694: To amend the National Labor Relations Act to permit elections to decertify representation by a labor organization.

      ----------

-- He opposes the Minimum Wage:

H.R.2962: A bill to repeal all authority of the Federal Government to regulate wages in private employment.

      ---------

-- He would deny the prevailing wage to employees of federal contractors, and remove prohibition on kickbacks in Federal projects:

H.R.736: To repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act.

      ---------

-- He wants to severely weaken Social Security:

H.R.2030: A bill to amend the Social Security Act and the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to make social security coverage completely optional for both present and future workers, to freeze benefit levels, to provide for the partial financing of future benefits from general revenues subject to specified conditions, to eliminate the earnings test, to make changes in the tax treatment of IRA accounts, and for other purposes.

      --------

-- He wants to repeal the "Motor Voter" Act, which has made it easier for people to register to vote.

H.R.2139: To repeal the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.

      --------

-- He would repeal significant portions of antitrust law, including the Sherman Antitrust Act, the Clayton Antitrust Act, and others.

      H.R.1247:
To ensure and foster continued patient safety and quality of care by exempting health care professionals from the Federal antitrust laws in their negotiations with health plans and health insurance issuers.

H.R.1789: To restore the inherent benefits of the market economy by repealing the Federal body of statutory law commonly referred to as "antitrust law", and for other purposes.

      --------

-- He has tried to make it easier for racial and ethnic discrimination in our society:

      H.R.3863:
A bill to provide that the Internal Revenue Service may not implement certain proposed rules relating to the determination of whether private schools have discriminatory policies.

H.R.5842: A bill to make all Iranian Students in the United States ineligible for any form of federal aid.

-- HeL would propose an amendment to the Constitution to gut the Fourteenth Amendment by denying citizenship to people born here whose parents aren't already citizens "nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States". That latter part could produce some serious political discrimination, especially if radicals can have their citizenship revoked:

H.J.RES.46: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.

      H.J.RES.42:
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.

      ---------

-- He would limit or try to repeal various environmental protection laws and regulations, including the Clean Air Act, the Soil and Water Conservation Act, and the use of devices that protect the "bycatch" of sea life:

H.J.RES.104: To disapprove a rule issued by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to proposed revisions to the national pollutant discharge elimination system program and Federal antidegradation policy and the proposed revisions to the water quality planning and management regulations concerning total maximum daily load.

H.R.7079: A bill to repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977.

Exactly my point, a cut and paste from a liberal website, and i should take that at face value as "fact"??

Just the other day I saw the point about - "H.R.5842: A bill to make all Iranian Students in the United States ineligible for any form of federal aid." get shot down. Actually someone else had cut pasted the exact same thing you did, all i had to do was scroll through and find it. This took place during the Iranian hostage crisis. Not saying it was right or wrong, but i can't really make an honest judgement based on the info you give. To find any real truth i would have to weigh all the facts and see where that leads, have you done that, or do you just believe everything you cut and paste??

No. He is a Non-Interventionist. He is completely open to trading with other countries. And yes, he is definitely putting on the "sheeps clothing" of the Republican tag in order to even sniff the Presidency, because in this day and age you have to be either/or to even have a shot at the White House. However, I would say he is much more of a staunch Libertarian than a Republican. And why do we need to give the Federal Government so much power when we have perfectly good State Governments that can do their job, but better. And if they're not doing their job very well, it is much EASIER for the people to control what happens at the State level than it is for people to control what happens at the Federal Level.

I think some of us need to have more faith in the power of our individual communities.
I know freedom for everyone is scary, but I think it's because we have this fucked up view of what freedom is in this country. Your Free as long as the IRS, Border Patrol, Homeland Security, INS, DEA, FBI or your local police force isn't looking. If they do guess what it's guilty until proven innocent in court. Which will cost you your life's savings if you still have it.

I do agree that the media isn't fair but the media is owned by the rich and they own the politicians! When they say sit, you sit. When they say, be quiet, you don't say a word. When they want someone elected, they flood the airways with support for the person who will do their dirty deeds! I realize its wrong but in this case, they're keeping a poor candidate in the dark! This poor man, who you say is being treated unfairly, has been on this soap box before! His pitch is still the same BS pitch he pitched the last time he ran! Personally, if they put him in a sack and hid him in the back of a shed, I'd thank them!
Those who have followed his political career and know Ron Pauls history ( as lengthy as it is) have a clear view of what his plans are for America and have listed them here several times in the past. For those who don't believe in facts, do some homework! Please! If any of you still feels that Ron Paul is your man, go to your city hall and register as a Republican! 90 % of Ron Paul's plans and his concept for life in America are based on Republican ideologies. If you're a progressive or a liberal, and believe Paul is the answer to the problems in this country, let me be the one to pop your bubble, you'll wish he never existed.
BTW! Ron Paul will not be the next President of the United States of America! God told me!

That being said, because we don't have honesty, and fairness, in the media, let Ron Paul write some laws that punish those who hold back the truth and put an end to the corruption and lies the media slops out every day. See, I guess its fine as long as your not the one being screwed! If you want fairness in the media, the media outlets need strict guidelines and rules, which Ron Paul has yet to support . Mean while, they pump out lies on a regular basis, they spin every truth to fit their agenda, and the uninformed (the living brain dead) who listen and watch these dishonest human beings, believe their every word as if it was written in a bible! All this unfairness and our Congress looks the other way! Where is the justice? Its in the writing pens of those in Washington, waiting for someone to put it on paper!

He just assumes that the free market will do everything for us while we vote with our wallets....although we have proven to be a society of mindless consumers. The idea of gold standard is terrible since A. We don't have enough gold to satisfy the transition and B. We are asking to allow more exploitation of workers who mine it C. There was a reason in the first place why we got rid of the Gold Standard.
