Bachmann Promises $2 Gas, but only If she is elected President

Michelle Bachmann is a sitting member of congress. Right now. Right this second. Until now the only thing Bachmann has been able to co-sponsor after 4 years of service, and get to the house floor is the “Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act,” a bill to repeal a 2007 law mandating that incandescent light bulbs be phased out. Seriously that’s it. But somehow we are supposed to believe that if she is elected President that she will really start doing her job of representing the people and acting in the best interest of them.

    • Just love that light bulb freedom act. Wow, The main offenders in this debate are Texas.Texan's are basically thumbing their nose at the 2007 law because it's all about freedom Youall! (run that word together now - it sounds more intelligent that way).

Gees, I guess Texas is so special that they don't have to be involved in that conservation shit!

Damn, this underlining religious attitude that "God" gave us dominion over all things on this earth is the height of hypocrisy and irresponsibility as a human being. Maybe we should start paying a bit more attention to the hear and now; vs. where we're headed when we're worm food!

    • "Hi, I'm a representative of Michelle Bachmann, and I want to let you know that although Michelle Bachmann is for smaller government while at the same time she is making promises about lowering costs that would require more government to actually put into action, it is not a contradiction.

Trust me. I represent Michelle Bachmann after all, and would I lie?"

    • If she could do that, then she is - essentially - holding us hostage? "Vote for me or ELSE! I won't do ANYTHING until I'm elected!" (not that she's done anything anyway)

    • The revised Senate bill (for light bulb efficiency) passed 86-8 on December 13, 2007. The House approved this final version 314-100 on December 18, and President Bush signed it the following day.
A lot Repubs obviously signed this bill so why did Ms Baackman feel it was necessary to repeal it - what a waste of congressional time and effort

    • She's holding back her new secret formula. See, you take one gallon of $4 gas and mix with one gallon of absolutely free seawater and voila!!! $2 gas. Shhhh!

    • If she's elected I have no doubt that she'll take the point in dismantling the American Economy, which would bring about $2/gallon gas no problem.

For once, I believe what she's saying......

    • So she knows how we can get $2 gas and refuses to work at it while she is an elected member of Congress... She is not only killing her run at the presidency, but at this rate her re-election chances should be going down the drain, as well.

I say "keep it up" and see how hard rock-bottom feels ("crack rock"-bottom?)

    • All you have to do is eliminate all federal regulation and the economy will go into a full blown depression and like that you have gas below $2.00 / gal.
