    • They will never see jail time. They staged a succesful takover of our government for eight years. The best thing that can happen now is to get rid of our electoral college and go to a direct popular vote for the highest office in our land.

The Electoral Collage should have been abolished over a century ago, it is just a dinosaur left over from when women were not allowed to vote. The very idea of what it could possibly do to overturn an election frosts my bones.

    • Of course the elections are rigged, how else do we explain Bachmann, Bush, Perry and way too many to count that hold and have held offices as well as the hopefulls from the good old GOP.

    • Well Duh! Imagine that ? This bulwark of freedom and democracy rigs elections?

Now that's hypocrisy and it means the system is NOT the answer.

That was no secret. Everyone knew they stole the election. Why else would SCOTUS stop the recount. Eight years of those crooks, and they have the nerve to criticize everyone who doesn't agree with them. We just have to be more vigilant.

you post a lot of puke opinions, thats fine, but I find it hard to believe you wouldn't draw the line here. Do you really oppose accountable elections, when you know it could happen to your guys?

Even if its not a breaking story, is it any less important, if it has not been corrected? Can you say the problem has been fixed? Can you say, they can not hack the votes?

Do you think time has anything to do with unpunished crimes? Do you think it's okay to tamper with vote counts, electronically? I heard tampering with an American election is treason. I think I agree.

Then why does the date of the story matter? If it hasn't been fixed, how can we trust future elections?

I'm still going to vote. This may be coming out now to discourage people. They have to take my ballot out of my cold dead hands. If people can stand in lines for days to vote in third world countries, so can we. That's probably why those governors are trying to suppress the vote. They know the jig is up. I wish this man had come forward earlier, but better late than never. Who knows, that great landslide in 2010 could have been rigged.

The man did come forward earlier. This is 'old' news, but still relevant. The problem was never addressed! No one has been held accountable!

The only way Barack Obama became President was, because it was a landslide. They could not steal a landslide.

During the 2008 Presidential election, mainstream media spun Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (a man of color and a woman) because they thought either one would be easy to beat. If not they had the means to fix that. Unfortunately for them, President Obama won with enough votes that they couldn't manipulate it, without being exposed. They couldn't steal a landslide.

They have done everything they can to stop anything he wanted from going forward. While he has been in office, they have spun every negative they can find, so when they manipulate the votes in 2012, they can claim it's disgruntal voters, voting for change.

As long as too few control waht we see and hear, nothing will change. They also manipulate public opinion with spin. It's not illegal to distort what they report and they know it. No accountability, no shame, no reason to change. Shame, shame, shame!.

I didn't look at this story as a partisan story. I looked at it as a legitimate concern. Yes it could happen to my side. Last fall in Massachusetts according to the polls there were five very close congressional races. All the Republicans got smoked in a state where every part of the process is controlled by Democrats. Yes, rigging elections is a concern.

Believe me, I would like to see that story also. Unfortunately, I think it's wishful thinking.

When you think of which party has possibly benefited from vote tampering and you think about who owns our media, it make sense why it was just ignored. They haven't reported that the possibly of vote count tampering, so they don't have to report that it has been fixed, when it hasn't.

Believe me, if you find the story reporting the possibility of vote count tampering has been rectified and I can trust our voting machines, I'll humbly apologize to you and will feel a sense of relief.

I don't mean someone just 'saying it'. I mean a real solution. No one can breach the computer system and change the vote tally. ????? I don't think so!

    • This whole country is rigged. They feed us all that propagandistic freedom crap in school, but when you go to exercise those freedoms, watch out. This latest scandal, electronic voting, is really going too far. What is the point in having poll watchers if the results are tampered with through the computer network where nobody can witness the deed? Granted, big-city machine politics in the past had dead people voting, but this new system will have non-entities voting, with the numbers being changed to suit the corrupt official overseeing the process. Instead of paying someone to vote early and vote often, it can all be done through the hacker.
So, it isn’t bad enough that most of the politicians are on the corporate payroll, voting as their benefactors direct them to in legislatures around the country. Now, we don’t even have a say in which of the two corrupt hacks on the ballot gets to serve. But, then again, it really doesn’t make much difference, does it? But, in the past, at least we had the illusion of actually making a difference on Election Day. Of course we have virtually no power on the job, where most of us spend the bulk of our waking hours. What will it take to tip the balance here? When will our Libyan or Egyptian moment come? How many more stories of lies and corruption do we have to take? Our votes will be worthless and those in power will have no real reason to court our support. We will be completely marginalized. Have a nice day.

This "Wisconsin" year seems to be in stall mode at present, (except for Wisconsin). The hoopla in NYC seems to have died down now that the budget issues have been resolved and most union members know they will still be working, (but some layoffs continue). State employees have agreed to givebacks, and all is quiet on the Eastern Front. The only thing I see on the horizon is the Al Sharpton-led march on Washington this Saturday. At least he keeps the focus on what is important. (And, he has been raising hell on MSNBC lately). But, the streets here are quiet, especially since the Verizon employees returned to work. All eyes are on Libya at present. http://sibob.org/wordpress/

    • I've seen the video before. Believe or not this guy is a car carrying Republican who really does care more about his country than his party.

But assuming the both Bush elections were rigged it explains a lot. But mostly it shows we, as a nation, really aren't crazy or responsible for who gets elected anymore. It also explains the results of the Wisconsin Supreme Court election where a conservative election official "all of a sudden " found 7500 uncounted votes that gave Prosser the election. But here's the million dollar question, was this ever covered in the MSM? Not to my knowledge. This is something FAUX News would be on 24/7/365 if democrats were being accused of hacking the vote. But because it's conservatives, we hear NOTHING. So much for the myth of the liberal media.

There is plenty of direct, hard, and reported, evidence the 2004 election in Ohio was stolen. A single Congressman can't get the attention or interest of the sitting Congress in this. There was a slim opportunity in Obama's first year to tackle but, strategically, I guess, they decided it would be distraction.
They also lobbied Spain against indicting several Bush Administration for officials for crimes against humanity.

Just think what would have happened if he'd let a foreign country arrest and extradite a former US president. Do I have to say more? At least he won't have to pardon them like Ford had to do with Nixon. Remember all those gun-toting idiots at the presidential rallies 2 years ago.Obama knows what he's up against. Thank goodness Tom delay is gone, but I' ll bet more than a few elected officials were complicit in this farce.

    • If you've ever programmed anything, you know that what this guy says is absolutely true. Someone who 'knew' what they were looking for, or even someone who knew how to search code could find this, so you have to wonder if the code was also programmed to eat itself, as he suggests, and if that was part of what was behind the hanging chads farce in Florida...buying time to cover their tracks. I'm sure they will have perfected that possibly time-consuming glitch by now.

    • I have absolutely no problem with electronic voting machines...

Given that the machines print out paper records of whom people voted for that the voters can confirm and deposit into a ballot box which, in the event of a recount, will be the source of the recounted votes, not the electronic votes tallied.

But that would kind of defeat the purpose of electronically stealing votes and/or electronically rigging elections in general.

And that is bullshit, what the companies claim mind you, not what you are pointing out.

One of the largest producers of electronic voting machines that have been used is Diebold. Diebold also makes a lot of, ATM machines! And ATM machines give paper receipts so that customers can keep a physical record of their bank accounts.

There is already a machine that takes votes and produces a paper hard copy for the voter to double check and then drop in.

      http://www.truvote.com/

But we don't use the truvote in most of, if any of, the states that do electronic voting for various reasons. Pretty much all of which are bullshit.

Remember the reporter that died last year( I believe Tim Russert was his name) called that election for Gore in Florida and everyone was so confused by the polling data. I will never forget Delay's paid staffers breaking into that office where the votes were being counted. That scumbag Delay is from Texas, too. We seem to have more than our fair share of dirtbags. He's appealing a money laundering charge right now in Texas.I hope they throw away the key.

And as we approach yet another election where Hoarder Class oligarchy makes sure we have theater instead of rational discussions on real issues, it is STILL bloody important to keep bringing the subject up.

Until the machines are OUT of our election process, we have to keep mentioning how easily they are corrupted. For the price of a good programmer, the Hoarder Class gets their employees in as out representatives. Over and over and over.

Old news, still pertinent until such time as We The People actually do the electing again.

i agree, the receipt thing is just flat stupid. Just because the receipt shows whom you voted for doesn't mean the computer counted it that way. And keep playing sim-city if you think that all those who voted will be able to return the receipt in the event of a recall.

who are they? I mean, seriously, who can we trust to do something about this? All of the elected politicians stand to benefit from this scheme, all they have to do is raise enough corporate money to be the chosen candidate, and clearly, it isn't the people of the United States who are choosing the candidates or the winners of elections.

We cannot let the GOPigs choose our President for us in 2012, in unity, there is strength enough to construct a colossus. From the foundation to the ridgepole, the parts reinforce and support one another to create a cathedral that will echo with the sounds of success, in 2012 building solidarity. We will be unified winning sprit, pervasive throughout, and GOPigs cannot stop us. Can you see it, 2012.
