Matt Gratz, Political Fail Blog-BART officials and riders are expecting to see a second protest that will be larger than last Monday's. You can expect to see and hear 'Anonymous' this evening at 5pm at the Civic Center BART station in San Francisco.
On Saturday, BART officials released a letter to the public standing by their decision to shut off cell phone service to protect the riders from organized protesters on August 11th.
BART's Interim GM Sherwood Wakeman and BART Board President Bob Franklin, are making things worse, according to BART Board member Lynette Sweet. "What we ended up doing is giving these same people another reason to come back and protest us," she said.
A few hundred people have promised to show up today in solidarity with the fallen victims of the BART police & to make a stand against the dictatorial decision to block cell phone signals & disrupt citizens from communicating & organizing.
The masked masses of protesters aim to send a message to BART officials and the world that we Americans (and humans from across the globe) can still harness the power of peaceful resistance. These peaceful activists will be met with a heavy show of force from the government in an attempt to strike fear into the hearts of anyone summoning up the courage to join these brave activists in the streets. Expect to see many armed, masked, and angry men and women who will not speak words, or even give a comforting look to the citizens they are paid to protect. Instead they will yell, scream and attempt to stomp on the spirit of rebellion and resistance.
The police need this event to turn into a "riot" to justify all their fancy costumes and deadly toys they will use against the unarmed citizens. The protesters are intelligent people and they will not fall for any tricks. Stay strong, stay peaceful, and stay in the streets and on the platforms!
