I know about this school since I live near Chicago. They feel they have a right to get into you personal life. They once fired a teacher because she got divorced.

The newspaper article was pretty positive about this. Generally speaking, The United Church of Christ has been fairly liberal. I am not sure about the college itself because of the statement about them firing a teacher due to divorce.
However, if they are seriously looking to provide support to LGBT students, that is a very good thing.
