The FBI spying on independent journalist Justin Raimondo and Antiwar.com has only brought more attention to the issue of the FBI 's classifiying the evidence regarding the Israelis celebrating the events of 911.

"According to a memo stamped “Secret,” marked as “routine,” and dated April 30, 2004, we apparently drew the attention of the feds when we posted a copy of a “terrorist suspect list” [.pdf] which had been supplied by the US government to various corporate and governmental agencies, both here and abroad. These documents – including one posted on the web site of an Italian banking association – contained the names of those on a “watch list,” the product of an FBI operation dubbed “Operation Lookout.” The memo acknowledges the list “was posted on the internet” in “different versions,” but says the FBI “assessment was conducted on the findings discovered on www.antiwar.com.”

The April 30 memo – which was issued to FBI counterrorism offices in New York, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and San Francisco – is prefaced with the following rather ominous “administrative” note:

“This document contains information obtained under the authority of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), 50 U.S.C., Section 1801. Such FISA derived information shall not be used in any criminal proceeding, including grand jury proceedings …”

After a paragraph of précis detailing the basic facts about Antiwar.com – its mission, personnel, and nonprofit status – the details of several database searches are enumerated. A search of the Universal Index (UNI) for antiwar.com “was negative,” however “a scan of the Electronic Case File (ECF) revealed numerous documents for [redacted] and antiwar.com.” This is apparently an index of documents, “intelligence,” and random rumors picked up by various FBI snoops.

The information revealed about Antiwar.com is, naturally, redacted, although we are given a hint as to the origins of some of the dirt they have on us: “File 65T-HQ-1427774 serial 26, dated 04/14/2004, from the Counterintelligence Unit CD-4E/11869 to the Washington Field Office furnished Washington Field Office with information received by [next four lines redacted].”

The redactions are extensive. The next entry refers to another file in the FBI database and starts out in mid sentence:

“…that he was in possession of a document which was written in Italian. This document specified that [redacted] was a suspect on an FBI list. The document contained[redacted] social security number, date of birth, and two previous addresses. [Redacted] was listed as [redacted] on a list dated 05/22/02. This document can be found at www.antiwar.com/justin/CI-08-02.pdf.”

This almost certainly refers to one of my columns about the mysterious “Urban Movers,” the Israeli employees of a New Jersey moving company who were arrested on 9/11/01 on suspicion they had some connection to the attacks. Five Israeli nationals were arrested that day, and held for over three months, subjected to lie detector tests, and later deported back to Israel. The owner of the company, one Dominick Suter, and his wife, fled to Israel the day before the police raided the company’s office and hauled away cartons of evidence: the Suters are among those listed on the “terrorist suspect list.” That was the angle I pursued in my columns, and it looks like the FBI also took an intense interest in the Suters.

The FBI’s intense interest in this “suspect list” verifies that, as I wrote on several occasions, it is indeed authentic. The “enclosures” accompanying the memo include two pieces written by me on the subject: one a piece I wrote for Chronicles magazine about the New Jersey incident, and another antiwar.com column which they wrongly attribute to some website styling itself as “Pravda” (a site which was never authorized to publish my work). While the FBI and the US government have long denounced the persistent stories [.pdf] of “Israeli art students” and “Urban Movers” conducting covert activities on Israel’s behalf in the US as an “urban myth,” their inclusion of Suter and his spouse on their “Operation Lookout” list and their apparent panic that I publicized this fact directly contradicts their denials.

      In this Shamir quoted the ADL in their claims that anti-semitic conspiracy theories about 911 are alive an well. I take issue with this as I was personally named in the ADL's hit piece and accused of anti-Semitism. This was very hurtful. My film is not anti-semitic and does not blame Jews for anything. Abe Foxman is quoted as saying, "“For ten years, the historical record has been warped and manipulated by anti-Semites intent on creating their false version of history. One of the saddest outcomes of 9/11 is that despite the fact that this national tragedy that brought Americans together, there remains this small group of vocal bigots who, nearly a decade later, are still seeking to promote and sell their own sinister agenda of blaming Jews and Israel.”

      There is a huge difference between criticizing Israel, a nation, and criticizing Jewish people in general. Are critics of North Korea simply anti-Asian? Or may they perhaps disagree with the policies of the government of North Korea?

      The ADL routinely masks their apologies for the apartheid state of Israel, as defending Jewish people from anti-Semitism. In reality, equating Israel with Jews in general is itself anti-Semitic. A large source of anti-semitism is a result of people wrongly conflating the atrocious actions of Israel, such as home demolitions, with "the Jews."

      There are 911 conspiracy theories to be sure. In my film "War by Deception" about 34 mins is devoted to 911, mainly on the 911 commission, and the rest of the nearly 4 hour film is about the Iraq War and the still unsolved anthrax attack. All of the events relate and none of them were blamed on Jews. It's utterly ridiculous to associate me or my film with anti-semitism. It would be perfectly fine to say you thought my theory on the Iraq War and 911 was wrong. It's preposterous to infer that it is racist. This is a quote the ADL used from my film:

      "9/11 was the new Pearl Harbor that the neo-cons yearned for. It was 9/11 that acted as the catalyst for both war and sweeping pre-written legislation to create a security panic state which stripped away civil liberties and constitutional rights for the sake of the military industrial complex. "

      Neoconservatism is a political ideology, and obviously the military industrial complex is referring to the American MIC the same one President Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address. Zionism is also a political ideology not a race, and that is stated in the film description and my other works. I am very clear about that. I do not appreciate having my named smeared as anti-semitic for criticizing Israel or the United States for wars that I believe are unjust and a terrorist attack that in my opinion was wrongly used for political ends to start such wars and erode American civil liberties.

      The ADL wrote: "In "War by Deception," made originally in 2008 and updated in 2011, Dawson presents the "standard" anti-Semitic conspiratorial view of the 9/11 attacks as a false flag operation carried out by Israel. He lays out one conspiracy theory after another that blame Jews and the Mossad for the 9/11 attacks and for the subsequent war in Iraq. Dawson, who runs an anti neo-conservative forum, paints the Israeli government and Jewish members of the Bush Administration as part of an evil cabal that wanted to control the world"

      At no point did I blame the whole of 911 on Israel and I certainly did not blame Jews. The ADL slides that in to make it an issue about antisemitism. The reality is the ADL is just protecting Israel. Also at no point did I ever blame anything on Jewish members of the Bush Administration. There were members of the Bush administration who happened to be Jewish, but I did not point that out because it has about as much to do with what I was saying as weather or not they were left or right handed. Time after time the ADL equates Israel as "the Jewish people." Clearly this is wrong whether you agree with Israeli policy or not, Jews live all over the world and one cannot make the jump from political Zionist with specific names to everyone with a common religion or ethnicity. That's a childish and asinine position, yet the ADL uses this tactic to attack good people, because they disagree with their criticism of the Israeli government. Furthermore the "cabal" mentioned is referring to the Office of Special Plans, a secretive unit in the Department of Defense, with aims at generating propaganda about Iraq, or the very least did generate propaganda about Iraq be it on purpose or out of incompetence. Congressional hearings about it were in the film. Nowhere is there an assertion of an evil cabal that wants "take over the world." This is utter nonsense and a strawman.

      It seems to me that the ADL wants to quickly paint questioning 911 as akin to racism in order to prevent investigation. Many Americans, in fact many people around the world, sincerely question the events of 911 and they are not simply bigots. That is dismissive and dishonest. In fact saying America was attacked because "crazy Muslims hate us for our freedoms" is much closer to outright bigotry and ignorance. And there is a very real, very open anti-Islamic sentiment in the USA. I believe it is much larger than anti-Semitism. The only defamation the ADL ever seems concerned with is when it's about Israel, not Muslims or Jews or Christians. Their irresponsible journalism is defamation to me, and others who strongly question our government on the wars and 911. We are just as American as the Neocons and war supporters, only we don't advocate murdering anybody."

      They grouped me in with some other guy who it seems actually is a anti-Semite and acted like the two films are the same.
      My film isn't even a 911 conspiracy film the film is 80% about Iraq and the anthrax attack only about 20 mins is on 911 mostly on the commission and the live reports, Suter etc something the FBI is investigating antiwar over.

      They left out the whole first part of the film showing the joint US and Israeli hand in Iran contra. the theory is about the US with Israel and Saudi Arabia not just Israel and certainly not "the jews" and "tiny cabal" (a quote they took out of context) is clearly referring to the Office of Special Plans, as I showed clips of the hearing on that right before it. 42 mins of the film is going over PNAC and the Office of Special Plans (OSP).

      My film stands on the facts and they can't argue with that so they try to associate Israel a NATION with Jews in general. Israel is not "The Jews" Israel is a fascist apartheid.

      I am ok with being called wrong, if someone can show me how, but not racist, that's so lame to smear me as racist for saying Israel lied about Iraq, anthrax, and was arrested on 911, all that stuff is true.

      ADL always does this, they group critics of Israel as critics of Jews. That is their one trick pony and it discredits them when there is a case of actual antisemitism.

      I'm going to put a banner above my movie stating Israel is not the "the jews" that's what the ADL would like you to think as zionist they can not separate a people from a political ideology and nation. It's as stupid as saying all white people are nazis because all nazis were white. Israel is NOT the Jews.

      It just makes you wonder why the FBI decided to classify the photos and the videos that the Israelis took of themselves celebrating and cheering the collapse of the Twin Towers, instead of making them widely known, doesn't it?

      I mean, what's the big secret that we have to wait until 2030 to find out what the big deal was or wasn't?

      I mean we were shown the video of dancing Palestinians for weeks on end, but there was no video of the Israelis who were arrested in the New York on the day of 9/11 cheering and celebrating the collapse of the towers

      i know its crazy, but just maybe, we live in a world in wich various pieces of information must remained classified in the interest of national security.i know it is an outlandish concept.but just maybe some pieces of information have far reaching implications and cant be released for consumption of the general public.i know i must be crazy to think this.

      in all actuality it makes me wonder how more shit wasnt held down under lock and key in regards to 9-11, as more that the public knows the less effective any agency would be in following through with their jobs.

      we were shown videos of the palestinians on end cuz we were attacked my arabs, and people in the arab world were rejoicing in our suffering.they didnt show footage of any of the rejoicers here,israeli or other wise.i looked high and low for the footage of the people in new jersey that i saw celebrating on that day and still cant find it.but hey that is too reasonable and doesnt demonize jews,so just go with the half information that feeds your narrative.rather than the full truth you so claim to seek.

      We weren't attacked by Palestinians and no one knew who we were attacked by at the time that the dancing Palestinian video was shown as no investigation had taken place, let alone attacked by Arabs.

      Funny thing is I bet the celebrating Israelis were arrested at the time the dancing Palestinian video was first being shown lol
