I live right in West Allis and I can tell you that the story has been blown way out of proportion. There was a few random attacks on white people by black kids, but there has not been wide scale arrests made and none of the arrests have resulted in any "Hate crime" enhancers. There was a group of black kids that did act out, but nothing close to the "eyewitness" accounts of 500 marauding black youths. Coincidentally, here is the kicker to this story. Yesterday, in my town, right in front of West Allis City Hall, took place a "rally" sponsored by some White Supremacist organization that was supposedly organized because of an invite from West Allis citizens in response to the State Fair violence. My guess, it was all a choreographed ploy to give justification for the skin heads to peddle their hateful, divisive message in a very racially mixed community. West Allis did the state proud by staging a counter-protest that dwarfed the NSM (National Socialist Movement) 25 to 1. The rally and counter-protest did not result in any violence and only 5 arrests took place, 2 for weapons violations and 3 for disorderly conduct. The day was a rainy cool day which might've helped put a damper on any potential confrontation which of course was the goal of the NSM all along but what resulted was an organized shout down of their hateful message and they were sent packing after only 90 minutes. I dont doubt there was some kind of skirmish but.. 500 kids? Im going to go out on a limb and call bullshit on this. If there were that many kids attacking, there would be a hell of a lot more people injured. Also, where is the video footage of this huge mob? I'd say 50/50 chance it's a lie.... Could be true...
I've heard of white people who've lived in the South, who went to schools that were once all black schools.... Well you have to think about it, those black students parents we're a little "rough-around-the-edges", they struggled through the civil rights movement, and many never fully recovered from all the hatred and racism leveled at them....
And they brought up there children (in allot of cases) to harbor a grudge, so many of those white kids being placed in formerly all black schools caught royal hell....
Some of the young black students had either no knowledge or no appreciation for the fact that many white people have struggled and even died along with them in defense of their rights throughout the past couple hundred years at least...
So if you told me this happened in the "South" it would be really easy to see it happening.....
