Funny Glengarry Glen Ross spoof by Oxfam to highlight land grab deals

If the cult film Glengarry Glen Ross made you detest the corporate world's desire to walk all over the common man just to get a profit, then you'll enjoy this clever re-make by Oxfam which highlights the phenomena of land grabs.

The re-make is of that famous scene when Alec Baldwin's company rep character  is sent to motivate the workers at a real estate firm to try and make them to sell and buy land regardless of the consequences, or lose their jobs.

Adam Askew, Oxfam’s UK Campaigns Manager said: “This spoof shows how businesses can focus purely on making a profit with little care of the impact this might have on others. Sadly, we’re seeing this sort of thing happen around the world in the race to buy up land, leaving people homeless, landless and destitute.”

If you want to find out more about what land grabs are about check out Oxfam's newly launched GROW campaign.
