GOP- led North Carolina House passes same sex marriage ban

Maybe everyone should boycott marriage until everyone can marry . . . Weddings are a big business - guess that wouldn't help the economy.

I am going to attack this from a different angle:

We all know that Same Gender Marriage is going to happen, even the most conservative christians know it. They can slow it down with their laws but eventually they will lose in court.

Being as these Tea Baggers keep running on fiscal responsibility how can they justify passing laws that they know will cause governments to spend money defending them and they know they will lose in court.

Seems like a waste of taxpayer money that could be better spent making life better for all of us, instead of making life miserable for some of us.

This is so outragoeus. I believe the DNC should move their convention to another city and state where civil liberties are recognized. If you agree, please sign my petition and encourage others to do so.

Regardless of your position on this issue the state has the absolute right to do this by either popular vote or legislation.

If you get the stupid sheeple to worry about Gay Marriage then they won’t be worried about fixing our crumbling economy. There are many ways the rethuglican machine has found to distract the stupid.

Paul Stam claims fears of people who currently live in Iowa, California NY and Massachusetts coming to North Carolina to, what: contaminate North Carolinians (I didn't know "gay" rubs off)?; confuse weak-minded citizens of NC into thinking that they were gay all along?

Most of the citizens of those states have better places to go than NC, and Paul, where are the jobs? What are you doing about the economy? Education? Roads and bridge repairs? Quit the grandstanding and do your g-d job!

To Democrats, it is the "economy stupid." To Republicans, it is "gays, immigrants, and guns stupid." Guess who cares enough about these issues in North Carolina to go to the polls and vote for them?

The Republican constituency of that state is full of drooling retards. Not only are they ignorant and hateful, but they are also allowing themselves to be distracted from the real issues. They are so vacant, so stupid, so imbecilic that they think stuff like this is important and they allow themselves to be distracted by it while corporations and the elite are screwing people over everywhere you look in this country. This is why the American people have already lost. Those of us who are paying attention and aren't mentally insane are surrounded by a never ending sea of zombie morons, enveloping us in stupidity drowning out the voices of reason.

Well this is the state that gave us Jesse Helms, so does this surprise you. This is also the state where they charged a cover charge "to keep the blacks out" when the band playing was The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. I still can't figure that one out. Did the band have to pay a cover charge? It is a state full of reactionaries hiding behind white picket fences.

These people in North Carolina are sick in the head. It reminds me of the tea-bagger repuke-athons last night cheering for the hypothetical death of someone choosing to be without health insurance. These sociopaths need to be treated for mental illness!

Funny, my old college roommate from North Carolina called me a few days ago.
I hadn't talked to him in years and he said, "Don't tell me you voted for Obama."
I said, "Proudly so!"
He went ballistic, calling me an idiot over and over, and then asked, "Don't tell me you believe in global warming?"

This legislation is being timed to get it on the ballot during the 2012 election so that the State does not go for Obama. This may back fire on them.

I really wish all the same sex loving people would just up and leave like the undocumented people here in Ga. did. There was no-one to pick the crops and many farms went under and people lost them because the workers refuse to come back after the "immigration" bill was passed here. the assholes realized they shot themselves in the head when they allowed the Republican rum state to ban non documented workers.
