Please excuse me for posting a duplicate of KB723's post. I saw this story at another location and in my rush to share, I missed KB723 original post. I tried to delete, but was unable to.

Is this another case of someone's words not intended to be factual'? Fear of appearing to be picking on media is not justification for lack of oversight. Investigating crimes is not picking on the possible criminals. It's what he and his committee are supposed to do.
Earlier this week, Oversight Committee Ranking Member Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) along with other members of his panel called on Oversight chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) to probe News Corporation over allegations that the company broke the Foreign Corrupt Practices Law and may have even hacked the phones of victims of the 9/11 tragedy.
Yesterday on Fox News, a subsidiary of News Corp, Issa responded to those calls by claiming that (1) the Justice Department is investigating the matter so he doesn’t need to, (2) it is not his responsibility to look into an issue that occurred “in another country,” and (3) the “most inappropriate” course of action would be “picking on media”:
What is he saying? Picking on media? Don't let any of them commit crimes. The fact that he turns a blinds eye to distorted facts spun as news, is astounding. But, turning a blinds eye to corruption and the 'real' crime of breaking the Foreign Corrupt Practices Law is an "Assault on Reason" and US.
IMHO we should not move along to the 'real' wrongs any longer. Shame on Congressman Issa! It's his job to provide oversight and hold people accountable, when they do wrong. If he can't do the job, he should resign and let someone else do that job.
In his position, Justice isn't an option! It's a 'requirement'!
