The theatre lives!

I haven't been involved in the theatre scene for over 20 years, except for a very brief stint with a local civic theatre which left much to be desired. On a whim,I googled live theatre on-line and was delighted with the thousands of opportunities to see live theatre being streamed. Many theatres are geared for streaming live and produced with that idea as part of the live production. I knew I missed the boat yet again. The article attached is enthusiastic about on-line production. Do a search and find your favorite theatre or subscribe to the National Theatre in London and get realy top notch acting.

    • This was a quick look this morning and found this article. There are literaly thousands of places to see theatre without leaving your house. Especially for those who are living in the boon docks, or house bound for any reason. Although schlogging to a bad show in person and not being able to walk out before intermission is every theatre goers nightmare, with live streaming it's as easy as turning the internet off. There are hopefully on-line reviewers and critics, I am too lazy to do that at the moment. But it warms my heart to see the flourishing of theatre melded with modern media. Should have searched sooner.
