What is everyone doing? Why aren't we supporting this why isn't this being televised barely recieving any attention. I say we all rise up together and Occupy world. The police brutality is INCREDIBLE towards this peaceful protest.
Just turn on the news not one word about this we have to fight now. We have to rise up now it's obvious we are being lied to by mainstream televised media. I EVEN SAW people report from Wallstreet and no mention of the large protests going on.
I Ask you Current, Please cover this on T.V. please cover this now.
Stand up and protest now!

I believe you, I meant that previous post as sarcasm. But it is sad how the deniers can't see what is happening right in front of them. They are living it. In Texas it hit 111 four days before October, fires poping up every where because of the dry grounds and the extended drought, and not one news outlet wants to utter global warming as a factor.

I see the Occupy Wall Street movement as a good chance for liberals and conservatives to come together and recognize their common enemy.
Before Wall Street executives stole from every American, they didn't go asking "excuse me sir/madame, are you a liberal or conservative?" No they just said "give us billions or we'll bring the whole house of cards down."
The only problem is when you get a polarizing agitator like Michael Moore showing up on the scene trying to control the debate. He creates division because he's such a big phony.
Consider the following: Micahel Moore is rich, very rich. He is well connected in Hollywood and Moore's Hollywood agent is (or was at one point) Ariel "Ari" Zev Emanuel, brother of Obamas' former White House chief of Staff, former Wall Street executive, former Clinton staffer, former IDF soldier, (possible Israeli spy) and current mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanual.
Moore is part of the big boys club, but pretends as if he is just one of the little guys. Why is he still out there pretending?

The tendency to "tar and feather" everyone in a group is hurtful to the cause. We should be "big enough" to accept the best help the cause can get and not let our envy of someone else money be our only guide. I prefer to look at Michael's films (he sure doesn't need me to approve or disapprove) and judge him from his work and his deeds. As the Prez says, we welcome the idea of people getting filthy rich in America, as long as they don't "forget" to pay their fair share of taxes so others can have the education, training and infrastructure to have a chance to make the big bucks too. We can't do that if we don't distinguish between "fair" rich people (President Obama "raise my taxes") vs. Faux "give me all your money stoopids! ;p

I agree with you that liberals and conservatives need to come together against our common enemy, but you should have left your insubstantial ad hominem arguments against Michael Moore for a separate comment. In original spirit of general unity in which you started your comment, I will refrain from discussing Michael Moore at this time.

If you saw what I said about Michael Moore to be an attack, then at the very least don't say it was unsubstanciated because it was totally substanciated. He's rich and connected to Wall Street and I believe him to be a phony, but he's certainly not the only one.
Sorry that's the way I see it.
Moore showing up at this protest is as ridiculous and divisive as if Donald Trump were to show up and start ranting with "the little people."

I have not participated in this protest, but from my experience, the vast majority of police officers are really good and a few bad apples make the headlines.
I've seen police spray other with pepper spray first hand for no reason at all. But this was an exception.

Keith and author Will Bunch, senior writer, Philadelphia Daily News, call out the New York Times and other mainstream outlets for failing to cover the Wall Street protests that began on September 17. Comparing their social media strategy to that of the Arab Spring, Bunch hopes that the protesters — promoted on Twitter and by the magazine “Adbusters” and other alternative news sources — refine their goals to appeal to a broader audience.

Michael Moore, filmmaker, activist and author of “Here Comes Trouble,” calls on people all over the country to bring the Occupy Wall Street movement to their communities. Moore says, “The smart rich know they can only build the gate so high. And … history proves that people, when they’ve had enough, aren’t going to take it anymore. And much better to deal with it nonviolently now, through the political system, than what could possibly happen in the future, which nobody wants to see.” Later, Moore denounces the state of Georgia for executing Troy Davis. “Well over a hundred people who were on death row who we were going to execute we have then discovered they were falsely convicted and they were set free. They almost died.”

http://current.com/shows/countdown/videos/kelly-heresy-on-police-violence-at-occ...
Keith and Occupy Wall Street protester Kelly Heresy discuss the latest documentation of police brutality at the marches and a New York Times report that calls the movement “noble but fractured and airy.” Ten days into the occupation, Heresy — who was one of the first to be pepper sprayed — clarified that the protesters support police officers: “We are not against the cops — the cops are part of the 99 percent — the cops, we would like to believe, are on our side. Because we understand that they have families, they have children, and with budget cuts they could be losing their jobs and pensions as well.” Responding to media concerns that the protest isn’t focused, Heresy reminded viewers that this is a very new movement and “eventually we will be ready to address the media with specific things.”

To everyone: the police, military, authorities in general are merely men and women doing their job. Who am I to say what the actions of everyone involved should or should not be. I can not and will not encourage anyone to do anything remotely hostile, violent and or especially illegal, and therefore I will not. I simply hope, that the messages of the masses who are legally protesting and broadcasting, are heard by the individuals- the comparatively small group of people who are the ones the protesters seem to feel are some how in any way responsible for the current economic woes of the country. If only these protesters could find a way to cordially be invited in to speak with these individuals. Perhaps there could be a positive outcome if such meetings were to take place. I'm simply curious, and I bet many others are at Current (and probably all of the internet) are as well, as to who the top, let's arbitrarily say, 1000 wallstreet folks would be best to conference with individually to get their take on how to fix our recession. Obviously, these bankers, CEO's, hedgefund managers, their lawyers anyone else I can't think of at the moment, etc... they got to where they are by working hard and honest. I bet they could be the ones at the heart of any solution to turn around the perception of a recession. Clearly, there's some legal chain to follow in which any concerned citizen can have their thoughts heard by these economic leaders in society. Protesting as a right, is important, I'm glad I get to be a part in defending it, everyone should utilize all of their constitutional rights. However sometimes, it seems to fall on deaf ears, it must be because these individuals at the top of the income ladder are so busy that they don't regularly pay attention to random things like this on the news. If only their were people out there in the country with the time and means by which to disseminate information to the rest of the people that would indicate the specifics on how to officially make contact with the people at wall street. Or in the least who they are, perhaps some biographies if their public, you know- like company websites, the keys to success is learning about how these exceptionally bright people worked their way up to where they are, and then emulating them. Feel free to take some of these ideas and add your own thoughts. We can, by working both independently and together, reach solutions in America, that'll continue to shape it for the better.

Dylan Ratigan had a portion yesterday, that I caught. Dylan has ranted against Wall Street since before 08 crash. They gave him his own show on MSNBC and put him on in the afternoon where no one will see him. Ain't contractual agreements grand? He had the former CEO of AT&T on who "gets it". It is getting out there.
