KINGSTON - Child psychiatrist Dr. John Francis Theroux, 53, of Kingston, was arrested Wednesday morning on charges he downloaded images of children engaged in lewd sex acts.
Theroux was arraigned by District Judge Paul Roberts on 66 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of communication facility. He had worked at Children's Service Center in Wilkes-Barre until his recent resignation.
