The only surprise here is that he left a trail of evidence and living witnesses, clearly not republican presidential material.

Because an offensive sign allegedly posted in the middle of nowhere is clearly one of the biggest concerns in America right now.

The guy who leased the property with the offensive sign is running for president. Or did you miss that?

ParkyBill:
Several things:
First of all I'm not defending Rick Perry. He could very well be racist towards blacks. He may even use the n-word in private company of friends and family. I don't really care one way or another the guy is a douche but it's not because he may or may not be racist.
But proving he is a racist is what you're after here with your racially charged satire, which incidentally Rick Perry didn't write and since it is on YOUR website we can assume that YOU wrote the offensive satire.
Perhaps it is YOU who is the racist here.
Other than that the Washington Post article is just as silly as it is also trying to make a mountain out of a molehill by trying prove that Perry is a racist, as if a sign in the middle of nowhere is the biggest concern in America right now.

Left out the part about "frequently occupied by the man who wants to be POTUS." You suppose its true that he only hates black people in the boonies?

And this non-issue is only now becoming an issue because he is running for president? The guy was just up for re-election last year, I Iive in Texas and this is the first I've heard of it.
You also left out that he's been the governor of the second largest state (1st largest in population) in the US since 2000 and is the longest continuously serving current U.S. governor.
Aside from that, you do know that many blacks live in both the rural and urban parts of Texas and that Texas was once a Democrat leaning state don't you?
The article also leaves out that Rick Perry's father was a Democrat, and Perry, while being pretty much a Rhino and has long supported liberal causes.
The WaPo article is a pointless smear piece and I still question both the nature and reason for the OP's satire because Rick Perry clearly didn't write it and I'm not even sure he would approve of it either.

He loves money more than anything else. I heard him say that he really doesn't care what liberals in the state think. What would you say that means?

A tribute to Texas journalism. How I miss Molly Ivins. My deepest sympathies for your address. Perhaps you can relocate.

"DIXIECRAT"! Big difference Maasanova! They were the spiritual ancestors of the tea party. Texas may be intent on rewriting history, but I ain't buyin' it, y'all.

Sure alexandrek this could be indicative of his personality, but I'm more concerned about his policies, his kickbacks and his ties to the same corrupt organizations as the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton/Obama faction and less concerened about a rock in the middle of nowhere with a racial slur written on it that Perry couldn't be bothered to deal with.
Think about it like this: let's say that Rick Perry is indeed a racist. Well racists think that saying the n-word is funny, but evidently the original poster thought it was so funny that he was actually bothered to write a whole satire post about it.
Personally I find both the rock and the satire distastful, yet I'm the one being attacked here for saying there are greater issues that need to be dealt with?

When he get's called "good ole boy" there will be no more "code words"about it! Great reporting! We need to let all the "pus" out of the wounds on the body politic so E pluribus unum can be true of US and not just our motto!

I guess I just can't figure out how you can say "I believe dog created everyone" and then you start tossing them out one, by one, because of ???? Dog's defects? Blacks, if he didn't want them why did he let them get a tan? Mexican's, if he doesn't like em, why create stoop labor?; Jews, if he didn't like them, why did he let his pup be born one?
Why can't we just use our skull contents, invent the stuff we need to let US live comfortable lives and let the devil (or the rapture ;-) take the hindmost? Maybe cuz our self-appointed over-lords wouldn't like it? - 8 months ago

i;m trying to say that i just don't get how a supposedly "smart" species allows the greedy bastards to not only take most of the wealth we all helped provide. they are demanding even more of our wealth and our children's chance at a life w/o nukes or war and not only do we allow the lying bastards a chance to govern. they spit in our face and demand even more sacrifice as they drink the imported wine they bought w/our 401k money.

I see where you're coming from. It's a mess, and we never know what we're getting, but you have to admit we saw the tea party from a mile away. People need to believe what they are being told. They told us every day what they were about. Unfortunately not many people were listening.

Well, unfortunately, it was not always so clear. Just talk to people from Ohio and Wi and they will tell you that like US (jobs are #1 after we get rid of the black guy). The question is whether we have learned enough to vote dem this time. If people do the "Oh, it's all useless and nothing ever happens", it's four more for Bush as the Sky Pilots are very good at getting out the old conservative vote and as little as it may be, if the fools who believe they are "doing something" by staying home are the majority, we will be back here and worse! Put me down as with the people in the park!
