Its actually a shame where the rethuglicans are these days. Christie has the best chance of beating Obama next year, but that which makes him the best candidate, makes him unpalatable to the tea baggers. The tea baggers have their own litmus test and he just doesn't qualify. So right now, as things sit, I think Obama will win, but I doubt he will have enough pull to turn the House in his favor and get a working majority in the Senate.

I am afraid you may be right about turning the house around, but maybe the protests and a huge voter turn out will make that not as big an issue...now don't pop my bubble okay?

That was my first thought, but my second was....Who wants to let a band of nuts who ruined this country get their hands on the White House. Even Christie didn't want to lead a pack of nutjobs.

I have heard him speak with clear disdain at the tea baggers several times and thought, huh a Republican that I can agree with (at least on that topic). I think he thinks it is a parade of fools that he does not want to be bandleader to.

If this was his reasoning, I don't blame him. Even if he did win, he'd be harrassed by the tea baggers to do their bidding. It could easily get as ugly as it is now.

By the time it takes him to lose the 200 lbs. to look like a President , his time will have passed. As if America would ever be ready for a lying, rude, arrogant blow hard who ridicules his constituents.
Besides, the man is a walking heart attack and probably won't be around in 2016.

Hello! you got it I was thinking about this last week, I believe this was the plan. But he can't run for President, He hasn't got time to file. He only have until this month to file to register to get on some of these ballot two late. We haven't forgot what happen in Florida 2000 not a chance he would win.

If this country is stupid enough to elect another Bush, we need our collective heads examined.

Nether do I, but I really wanted him to run, so he could see just how many people... that don't like his ass. GOP, which means the grand old party, said everyone in NJ likes Christie, this is a big lie. Think how good it would have been for the people of NJ if he was wasting his money running around the country campaigning, and away from NJ.

The newspaper that was shown that changed the blame, who was at fault, on the bridge is a good example. The protesters were not at fault then 20 mins later it was rewritten to blame them. Someone paid for that. The Media should be nuetral on everything, just tell the story.

Yes. That cop that sprayed those women wanted to start panic and probably expected chaos to ensue. Those protesters did a great job. It really made me proud when they didn't over react.The media probably would have found a way to blame them for that too. Thank goodness for camera phones.

It was clear who was President during Bush's first term. Dick Cheney ran that show. Bush didn't have a clue, and probably still doesn't know all that Cheney did in his name.

It surprised me that someone didn't hurt some of the white shirts, because of that incident. The phones today are the best defense against bad Cops, and they need to be fought in Court. I guess it's my age 66, I would have had a hard time, NOT fighting. An eye for an eye I guess and I would have defended them.

One thing to remember if ever you protest and there is a police presence....You do not hit policemen or at least don't instigate violence. That will land you in jail for some serious time. As you may have witnessed by the marches in the sixties. The protesters always went limp, did not resist arrest and never hit cops.

Your right, but I'm shocked someone didn't, and they would win in Court with all the pictures that have been taken. It would cost a lot of money for the lawyer.
