Thought Different

"There's one more thing."---Steve Jobs( 1955-2011 ) at any unavailing of a new product.

Jobs management style has been credited with Apple's meteoric rise as the world's most important company. I don't credit his management style at all in Apple becoming the most innovative company in the world. I credit his vision and his drive in doing something unique, something more, something visionary.

I don't think that the company will stop being innovating, to tell you the truth technology drives itself, whatever is new won't be set back decades just because he is gone--technology has no attachment to any individual. What he did at Apple was infuse the people with a sense of wonder for what is possible and we the consumers reacted by making Apple products everyday essentials.

Steve you sparked our imagination by changeling us all to think different. Rest in peace knowing that we will always demand that There's ALWAYS one more thing.

    • I really feel a loss over this.

I am amazed at his comeback also, at one time he was down then he fought his way all the way to the top -- and then some.

We can all agree that he did die ON TOP. Most of us won't be able to say that.

He also must have worked up until the very last moment, he didn't step aside until a few weeks ago. What does that say about Steve Jobs. He must have known he only had months/weeks to live. Instead of enjoying his billions in his last days, he wanted to secure the future of his company.

      Well done Steve.

I hope you evolve on the next plane.

No offense intended but on my blog I create badges as a parody. One such badge is the Nostradumbass---usually reserved for prophetic comments, I hate to have the need to award you one ;-)

I have been using exclusively Apple products since 1999. In that time I have seen what you call "their latest offering reeks of a lack of inspiration, little more than a repackaging of their previous piece to be released to the faithful as a cash grab." as I purchase, lets say an operating system, there are either a few new improvements or a considerable evolution in technology. If I were to gauge things in terms of " I plan to be impulsive and needlessly buy anything new" then perhaps I would agree with you.

Everytime Apple makes an improvement NEW costumers buy it or old COSTUMERS who can benefit from the new functionality upgrade. The kind of critique you offer is as a direct result of dysfunctional CONSUMER demand, such a person wants new bells and whistle every 3 months. This is what a company at the top faces, Apple for the most part outdoes every other company in delivering innovation. The apple CLONES drowning the market, benefit from reverse engineering Apple technology, all without shelling out millions on R&D so they add a few COOL aps and every one says Apple"reeks of a lack of inspiration"

But what do I know? This year I'm buying a new Chevy Nova. They told me this year's models come in mango and have fine Corinthian leather on all parts that the body touches---Be jealous!

Im on a mac book pro less than two years and on mac osx 10.6.8 a few month's ago they introduced an apple that offered a couple of nice upgrades but nothing I would consider useful for me, but my 24 year old neighbor will sleep with satan for a new one, go figure the allure of novelty. I a few years more I will be calling satan for the chance at a new one.

The chevy thing was a joke, me being an ass---hence my moniker.
