    • sorry you are so angry Bill, but it is everyone's right to consider themselves independent. It gives them the option to support what they feel is right, despite which side it comes from.

    • Look for the Union Label 1981 classic ad

P.S. Let's go the Uncle Bernie's house and rummage through his belongings to see how much of what he owns is "Made in China", shall we?

Dollars to doughouts most of what he has in his home is NOT made in America.

And do you know why I say this?

Because most of the manufacturing jobs have been sent overseas in the past 30 years, that's why!

Sanders' political career began in 1971. Let's see...he's been "around" since most of you reading this weren't born yet and he wants ME to believe that he did not have a hand in all that's happened over the decades?

Remember folks, politicians that have been "on the job" for more than two years are CAREER POLITICIANS.

And remember, look for the union label...if you can find one!

P.P.S. That little "gift shop" sure is going to have a lot of room to walk around in...empty shelves after empty shelves...

P.P.P.S. They can always fill those shelves with whistles!

"American Whistle Corporation has the unique manufacturing ability worldwide to die-strike your logo into the top of a solid brass whistle. Since 1956, we have been committed to made in America and to delivering the ultimate in personal safety tools. We are proud to manufacture THE American Whistle, used by millions of Americans across all walks of life.

Our whistles are used by the American Red Cross at disaster sites around the world. Corporations order whistles for promotional purposes and to distribute to associates and customers in order to increase awareness of personal safety issues. But, of course, our whistles are used most by individuals directing traffic, refereeing youth sports, guarding lives at public pools and found in the pockets and on the key rings of hikers and campers everywhere. Importantly, our dedication to customer service is key to keeping our long list of happy customers from Boy Scouts to corporations and police officers to college students."

P.P.P.P.S. (This is the FIRST time I've EVER done a Quadruple "Postscript"!)
Here is a list of AMERICAN companies right here in Ohio that still make good ol' American shit, I mean stuff: http://factorytoursusa.com/StateList.asp?state=OH ...in case someone may not realize it, I'm from Ohio and that is why I use the account name "Buckeye Bill"...because I was MADE IN AMERICA! Just ask my...oh wait, Mom and Dad have passed on, so if anyone wishes to adopt me...since I am an American orphan now, contact me at the State Capitol Building in downtown Columbus, Ohio, because I'm heading there to protest for the rest of the day! Thank God protests are STILL MADE IN AMERICA! No wait...I'd rather NOT be protesting but that would mean everything was okidoki...which things aren't. Oh well, see yaz in the "trenches" as I carry my little sign stating, "Look For The Union Label"!!!

      Bye, bye!

Great list of American companies in Ohio. When I get to Amish country I always make a point to buy cheese in Charm, Oh.

I knew David Longaberger when he played basketball with my children's father, Dresden, Oh. He was a a little older then me but we all called him by his nickname "Popeye" I have Longaberger baskets all over the place, dating back to 1981.My son worked there for 12 years. So when Christmas, birthdays, holidays came, guess what he bought me. Longaberger Baskets. =)

I feel your sympathy for the man. He says the right words today, doesn't he? He sounds so much like the champion we all need today in not only Washington, but right in our own back yards, politically speaking, since so many states have governors, state Reps and Senators, mayors or council persons that seem to have gone off the rails, too.

But it's the same story I'm hearing over and over again. "It's not MY Representative or Senator who's the problem. It's the other guy's!".

The way I see it NOW is if a person that has been in Washington for as long as they have and all these horrendous problems we face today weren't effectively fought by them, they have either been so INEFFECTIVE that they should be considered worthless OR they were complicit in some way by allowing these terrible problems to fester until we have what is now almost insurmountable issues to solve!

Either way, Bernie was, at the VERY least, NOT DOING HIS JOB and should be replaced with someone who will do a much better job TAKING CARE OF THE PEOPLES' business!

      Don't you see?

I say that after that many years in Office, it's TIME for NEW BLOOD ANYWAY! Just look at what all those "new recruits" have done to the Old Republican Guard! Those "newbies" have got those "old timers" shaking in their boots!

So, please do not think I'm assaulting your intelligence or belittling Mr. Sanders...well, not much except to say his time should come to an end and let someone with more "political stamina" take the reins of Office!

      Respectfully,

      B_B

Hey! You've got that right! Down here in the "Triangle of Amish Country" between Urbana, Plain City and London, Ohio, the Yutzy Family Farm is THE place to be! Of course, if you've seen one thousand Yutzys, there's NO WAY you've seen 'em all....there are SO many! (It's pronounced "yoot-c")

And they make EVERYTHING from furniture to buggies, from cheese to the ceramic you'd need to keep the cheese in! Everything a home or farm would need, they make and sell. Everything a human being would want to put in their mouth to eat, too! And it's ALWAYS the best ingredients used to bake, roast, boil, fry or any way food is prepared...they do it so well! We have our list of farmers that we do business with like a young couple named Derek and Elisha Fisher who has the HAPPIEST chickens in the whole world! Their poultry are treated like royalty! And what do they AND we get in return? HUGE brown double-yokers! That's what! And they live right down the road from us State Route 38....just a coulpe of miles away. And my wife is in love with their little daughter Kenley! It's exactly like doing business with "family" when you buy from local farmers! Besides....you know where they live and most importantly HOW they live! It's easy to see how clean someone is when you are in their kitchen! LOL

Now....about that Longaberger Homestead. If someone that is from out of town that has never heard of let alone seen their "BUILDING", guess where I will make arrangements to take them for a tour? Yes...off to Neark, Ohio, we go! My family on my mother's side is all over Eastern and Southeastern Ohio! rom Baltimore to Lancaster to Millersport, to Heath from Heath to Logan and Circleville and then just "circle" right back on yourself and you have to pass thousands of my family members to get anywhere! If you were to hit a bush with a stick, a sozne or more of my family would jump out! We are plethoric in all various titles of aunts, cousins, uncles and such! As I was growing up, my other, who was the "One" who could keep up with all of them by name, would stop and talk to what I thought was a stranger for thirty minutes only for me to find out that was my second cousin's nephew's sister's aunt!

I love Ohio! And the people, too!

Even those that are Republican!!! After all, some are my cousins, nephews, nices, aunts uncles...onec, twice or thrice removed! But family they are!

P.S. Yes...the picture above is of a REAL building. With a whole shitload of real Americans working in it, too! Ohio Americans to boot!

    • Senator Bernie Sanders is AWESOME! Say it like it is - and isn't it nice to be able to express the sense of outrage we've all thought and felt for so many years watching things go to hell?!

Excuse me, but before I leave to go downtown here in Columbus, Ohio, to do my little protest "dance", I'd like to share with you what I think of people who say they are Liberals, Independents or Democratic Socialists...which Uncle Bernie claims to be. Well, he calls himself a Socialist but he can't be that and be a politician since there is no such thing in Congress. He must use the "Independent" moniker because that is on the "approved list" of Party affiliations one can be a member of.

Here's my story...many people say there's only TWO Parties that make decisions as to who will be a Representative, Senator or President. But that is a flat out mstaken remark. There is and always will be a division between those two Parties. What does tip the scale one way or the other is those that call themselves Independents, Progressives or Liberals. One year or political "cycle", the Liberals will vote Republican and when they get fed up with them they do the ol' switcheroo and then vote Democratic! This is the voting "block" who is really in charge of all the shit that happens from year to year!

I say they should rename themselves the "Hypocrite Party", since they swap their "loyalties" whenever they get the "urge" to.

Liberals fall in LOVE with a candidate. Republicans fall in LINE with theirs!

If only there could be a law that would prevent a Liberal from voting, this Nation would be a Helluva lot better!

Now, those whom I put into this "do si do"* square dance that causes the powers of our two branches of government to swap places every so often are Ross Perot, Ralph Nader, Bernie Sanders and Ron Paul types. They were and some still are a scourge on the political scene.

All I got. Although I do claim to be Bleeding Heart Liberal Progressive Socialist Yellow Dog Democrat...since 1968. I cover all my "bases"!

I hope you enjoy the song I've chosen to express my true feelings about the whole, damn thing!

      *Do Si Do
      n. pl. do-si-dos. 1. A movement in square dancing in which two dancers approach each other and circle back to back, then return to their original positions.

That's what people aren't seeing, especially the older candidates... How much life left? How much would a bribe mean to them?

    • Bernie Sanders has been at this for years...his message has been consistent, logical and out of step with everything the right stands for. And where are those gutless paid for Dems who should be standing with him, especially now...they are hiding in their offices afraid to move and their leader cannot lead them...

    • These policies only perpetuate economic and environmental slavery, especially of the poor. They do not bring jobs or a cleaner healthier planet, or a better standard of living. Many of the people who are making these products because of their trade agreements sit in squalid conditions for hours at a time for mere pennies, while retailers like Walmart make billions off their sweat while Americans also lose jobs. This is also how companies like Monsanto have been able to spread their GMO seeds that are contaminating biodiversity, and why companies like Chevron get away with raping and destroying the Amazon, and companies like Bechtel get to privitize water systems. This is simply a perpetuation of enslaving the poor at the benefit of the same few elite. This is why we need to fight. Bernie Sanders is a wise man. Vermont is a lucky state.

    • Got email requesting donation to Obama's campaign today. Sent an UNSUBSCRIBE request. They wanted to know why. I linked to a Bernie rant about free trade and jobs.
Said when O gives working people more than lip service I might consider getting their emails again, but not until then.

Respectfully speaking here, but where was he for the past, what FORTY YEARS, while all this mess was being created? If Uncle Bernie was/is THAT effective, doesn't anyone think we should be in a much better "place" than we are now?

I say we should get rid of ALL the politicians that have been around for soooo long that they either had to be part of the problem or didn't do enough to prevent them from happening and have been ineffective at best!

I call it, "A Little Too Late, Now" syndrome. What....it took him this long before he found his political "voice"?

Mr. Bernie Sanders....to me....you are the human version of the little country spoken of in the novel, "The Mouse That Roared", by John Steinbeck.

"But little Mouse, you are not alone,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes of mice and men
      Go often askew,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
      For promised joy!

Still you are blest, compared with me!
      The present only touches you:
But oh! I backward cast my eye,
      On prospects dreary!
And forward, though I cannot see,
      I guess and fear!"
(Excerpt from the poem, "Of Mice And Men" by Robert Burns - written 1785)
