Bad news for Obama when his camp's fake terror plots are even being questioned by the normally compliant CNN.

This is either an example of our ever globalizing World or simply another case where the FBI was following someone who probably had intentions but turned out to be a lone wolf.

I have to agree with Cenk, this whole thing stinks. So the question becomes, who would benefit from an American attack on Iran? Hmm, Israel for one, just like they benefited from our attack on Iraq. The Saudi Arabian government for another who feels threatened by the fact Iran might build an atomic weapon (as Israel also likely does).

Another couple of other things that cannot be overlooked and IMO are more likely is the fact that with bin Laden is dead, al Qaeda has become passe and is no longer the threat they were perceived to be, AND the Defense Department is facing massive budget cuts. What better way to bolster the argument not to cut defense funds than by creating ANOTHER evil terrorist boogieman who must be dealt with by the US military?

Do I think the US government as a whole, is behind this? No. More likely people in the Defense Department and the US military industrial complex both of which NEED threats to US security to survive.

I'd agree that it would be best to be sceptical, since if you start out with a conclusion you desire, then you'll find things to make it fit, so it is prudent to make sure the evidence does prove that conclusion and not some others.

I've seen other conclusions that sound plausible when presented, but the evidence is ambiguous and could be shown to prove many conclusions depending on how it is interpreted.

This whole plot is so obvious it stinks of a fabrication to justify a US or Israel attack on Irans Nuke facilities. This is something Israel has been chomping at the bit to do for some time now.

It's good to know that we have an administration that is still gathering information and not fearmongering . They are still investigating. Even the experts question why Iran would dare this at this time. Maybe someone else did this to stir up trouble.
