DAVID GREGORY: What about foreign policy advisers? Who has shaped your view on the U.S. in the world and foreign policy?
HERMAN CAIN: I’ve looked at the writings of people like Ambassador John Bolton. I’ve looked at the writings of Dr. Henry Kissinger, “KT” McFarland, someone who I respect.
GREGORY: Would you describe yourself as a neoconservative then?
CAIN: I’m not sure what you mean by neoconservative. I’m a conservative, yes. Neoconservative, labels sometimes put you in a box. I’m very conservative.
GREGORY: But you’re familiar with the neoconservative movement?
CAIN: I’m not familiar with the neoconservative movement. I’m familiar with the conservative movement and let me define what I mean by the conservative movement.
While Cain may choose not to identify with neoconservativism, two out of the three individuals listed by Cain as shaping his foreign policy views are closely tied to the neoconservative movement.
One was John Bolton, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who briefly served as U.S. ambassador to the U.N. under the George W. Bush administration. Bolton promotes many neoconservative policy positions, and served on the board of directors for Project for the New American Century, a neoconservative pressure group which openly pushed for war with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq since 1998.
Another foreign affairs inspiration was Kathleen Troia ‘KT’ McFarland, who worked in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations and now serves on the advisory board of the neoconservative Foundation for Defense of Democracies. She writes a weekly column for Family Security Matters, a project launched by Islamophobe Frank Gaffney’s think tank....

Of course he doesn't know anything, he is a Koch puppet and is paid not to think but to parrot whatever he is told. These constant ventures into the land of "I don't know" are indicative that he is just following a script and has little idea of what it means or how it works.

I watched MTP this past Sunday and couldn't believe he said a number of things. How long have you been in this country, Herman? Never heard of the neocons. Thinks that women impregnated by rape or incest are so statistically irrelevant, he won't even consider allowing an abortion for them. Herman, who do you think will vote for you that doesn't fit in a convention hall?
Maybe one of the sock puppets can take up the banner and explain some of this to us. - 7 months ago

When will anyone in the media just come out and ask these candidates if they are Zionists? Because that's all a "neo-conservative" really is at the end of the day.
And yes Herman Cain is a full blown Zionist next thing you know he'll be running off to Israel for his presidential audition.

I love his shoot from the hip honesty, even if it makes him look foolish at times, most other politicians start talking out there ass in circles and by the time they're done you're not sure if you know, that they ain't know shit to begin with.
That being said, he is increasingly showing that he would be incredibly weak in international politics, its one thing to shoot from the hip and be as honest as a 5 year old about what you do and don't know at home, but in international politics it would seem that he is more likely to put his foot in his mouth and accidentally start a war then too actually conspire to invade a country just because.

I take issue with giving this man any propers... when he's clearly tainted on all fronts.
In 2005, Cain worked for the Koch family funded Americans for Prosperity(AFP) alongside Mark Block. What more do you need to know to prove that this man IS a tool for the top 1%?

JustZ:
i call a ace a ace and a spade a spade, i don't see the value in being dishonest about your observation's because it may actually mean something.
There have been many times i have observed situations where even far leftys and the far right agree on important issues but refuse to acknowledge it because of who brought up the subject rather than if the subject itself is valid and at the end of the day neither side addressed their concerns and nothing got done, to me all that childish nonsense just hinders your democracy.
I did my research weeks ago on herman cain and i said he would be force to be reckoned with, even when others said his campaign was about to shut down any day ignorantly and here he is 999 plan which people aren't sure they actually want but still a force to be reckoned with.
I brought up issues at the start of occupy wall street about how there goals were vague and got no up votes but when someone posted steven colbert saying the same thing i was saying in response to my post there was a whole bunch of em, again i find it immature for you to see something and deny its happening because of your political leanings.
Lets be honest, the majority of americans don't know enough about the koch brothers to understand the significance of the name being attached to herman cain's campaign, just like a lotta people didn't understand the significance of halliburton and dick cheney & the connection to big oil to the iraq war when they elected him in the second time.
They will elect a president on policies and likability and recognizing these strengths or weaknesses do not equate to giving him or her props, but just that, recognizing there strengths and weaknesses.
The fact of the matter is all americans care about is getting the economy back on track and they may very well elect somebody that they believe can do that.

GENERALNATTY:
I know it's internet poor taste to bring up the name of Hitler but just to remind folks, he was elected to bring back Germany's economy from the brink and return jobs to the unemployed. He did both things for a short while but is remembered for the other "things" he did far more than the reason for his rise TO power. And no, I'm not compairing ANY candidate to him, I'm bringing it up because of the last sentence of what you said. We need to be damned sure that the person who promisses to fix this mess doesn't do it by getting us into a far greater one like he did. Unfortunately the "R" side of the field is exhibiting the same type of thinking that his party did, find a scapegoat to pin the blame on and make the military larger for foreign policy "solutions". Besides, I prefer to call this current crop "Nutsies" as it's far more descriptive of their mental processes.

He doesn't know he is a neocon because all he knows is the political ideology of neo-conservatism. That's the only philosophy he thinks exists so he wouldn't know there is a label for it.
