'Media Matters' senior editor Joe Strupp analyzes Occupy Wall Street coverage
Cenk Uygur and "Media Matters" Senior Editor Joe Strupp meet in the middle of the Occupy Wall Street protest to talk press coverage and commentary. Who's actually coming to talk to the protestors? Are they representing Occupy Wall Street's progression fairly? What about the conservative reporter who asked an 11-year-old girl what she thought of capitalism?

yeah ... see - that would be GOOD journalism, oh but please ... let us not have that, that does NOT sell advertising! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journalism_ethics_and_standards).
I liked this, it was very 'a matter of fact' from Joe Strupp. But I do have to say, I did see someone from Media Matters on Chris Hayes who - unfortunately - conveyed a really distasteful value system that judged Occupy simply maddening me. IT was both she and Hayes - really sadly in an instant framed and pointed out why we have all taken to the streets by the way they devalued the efforts of Occupy. It was crass, unaware, unabashedly foolish and sophomoric -- and took me by surprise. Unfortunately it also resonated with PJ O'rourke and Nicole Wallace on Bill Maher who were taking off on Jon Stewart's PARODY about the bathrooms. Fortunately Alan Grayson was there to kind of put them in-line and refocus what the grievance is. It was sad to me that Media Matters and Hayes did the same, except that there was no one there to check them. THAT is what was sad for two folks who call themselves progressives ... it turns out these progressives are guilty of the same ignorance.
Is it true that the "young staff" at Media Matters were laughing that these guys had iphones and ipads and by implication should have nothing to complain about? These guys are doing YOUR jobs, what you as the great media keep 'reporting' you are doing, and then you have the audacity to laugh. Turned off Hayes and haven't watched since. Because that viewpoint is why the real stories were not coming out and why we have been all over the damn place instead of what really matters to this country ... there is a virus in our media called 24-7 distraction and it keeps running after things in helter skelter fashions for 'the story'. President Obamas birth certificate is a bigger story than all these people losing their homes, what that means - especially when they have no job. What does that look like? Is it right? Or where are they living? Is this the invisible homeless ... ? Paying lip service to the story without developing substance to it. Did it ever occur to Hayes that those iphones and ipad are the only things left to some of these folks?? Their only connection to a normal life? (http://www.truthalyzer.com/?p=800)
