My apologizes for taking so long to reply. School work is absolutely weighing me down.
@Anomaly No kidding, heroin is cheaper everywhere. That's what happens when a commodity is unregulated, even though it's illegal; it still flourishes in the under world as a free market enterprise....a very illegal free market enterprise. Pills are regulated and will inevitably reflect the legit market in some fashion. Their values are going to be restricted due to regulations in trade. My research is in New Jersey and Philadelphia, that's why I pointed out that dope is cheaper than pills in those places. The reason for pointing this out is because I was attempting to demonstrate a key factor tht plays into opiate users upgrading to heroin to pills. It's simply more cost effective.
Interesting information about Florida though. I never knew the game was that serious down there. Pretty crazy that doctors are actually afraid to prescribe down there. I couldn't even imagine.

Um.... Heroin is cheaper than pain pills everywhere... The only place I can think of where pain pills might have even remotely competed was Florida, but thanks in part to c u r r e n t that is no longer the case...
Now where all those people got addicted and used to a consistent dosage in their opiates are finding them harder to come by, and heroin a way cheaper replacement... I mean we're talking pain pills at the very least costing 3 times what a similar dosage in heroin would cost... And it's getting to be as much as 5 times more expensive for the safer albeit less potent pills (the Florida market)....
It's okay the military keeps leaking that shit (heroin) straight from Afghanistan to the streets... A good half of the people I grew up around are addicted, pills, heroin, whichever is cheaper...
Sad... Since so many people have already become so addicted it's frightening, I'd rather them have the pills that at least comes in a per-measured consistent dose...
Another thing, there are at this point, multi-million dollar illicit drug empires, a few of them in south Florida with some hustler sitting on top. Empires that wouldn't have gained near the ground had it not been for the pill industry...
A whole generation on wanna-be Tony Montana's that had left the cocaine behind because for a time it was so easy to game the crooked doctors... With all kinds of interesting consequences like causing doctors to not prescribe or want anything to do with pain management just because they're afraid of the backlash from meeting a legitimate medical need.....
