San Francisco Chronicle calls Obama Nixonian

The San Francisco Chronicle took on President Obama in an editorial today: “Obama White House on press access: a Nixonian quality.” To be sure, this is self-serving — the Chronicle’s Carla Marinucci almost was kicked out of the press pool in April after she pulled out a small video camera while riding in the presidential vanguard to film some protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel. How dare a reporter record the news. How delicious it is to see the hometown newspaper of Looneytunesville call Obama Nixonian.
From the editorial:
The Obama White House’s restrictions on media access to its fund-raising events makes a mockery of its claim to be the most transparent administration in history.
If anything, there is almost a Nixonian quality to the level of control, paranoia – and lack of credibility – this White House has demonstrated on the issue of media access to President Obama’s fundraisers.
Bay Area reporters will not be allowed inside the W Hotel today when the president meets with hundreds of contributors paying $7,500 or more to attend. Only Washington-based journalists were allowed in the pool – continuing a disturbing trend by this White House to severely limit access to fundraisers. Even former President George W. Bush, hardly a champion of transparency, allowed local reporters to cover his fund-raising events.
“Even former President George W. Bush”? Why the dig at a president who was pretty press friendly. As were Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 41 and Clinton. Most politicians are pretty friendly with the press because most politicians like people. And in defense of Nixon (never thought I would write that) he faced a press that was still enamored of the Family Kennedy (as did LBJ, who in retrospect was treated as a hayseed by the White House press although most of Washington knew he was anything but).
But what is Barack Obama’s problem? He enjoys the most fawning press coverage in 50 years. The possibility that he is just a jerk enters my mind.

Obama reminds me of the other communist that got in power from a popular election, Chavez, in so many ways. Chavez put control on the media, and he has taken over that nation with "presidential decrees", not unlike what our Marxist in Chief has been trying to do to us. That being said, Obama will be a one term president and he'll soon be packing up his crap and moving his worthless ass and his skanky fat assed, America hating woman back to Chicago.

GENERALNATTY:
Point taken. Back during the campaign, she said that America is a mean and nasty nation, she also said that "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country" (because her hubby was trying to get elected president). I realize that this country has made mistakes in the past as all have, and surely will make more, but to say there is nothing at all in the history of this nation to be proud of, that's way over the top, and anti-American. She is unfortunately, our First woman, for now, but no American who was dreaming of living in the White House should have those sentiments about their own country. So, yeah, she is one of those in my opinion.

I don't "hate" him, it takes too much energy to hate, it's not a sentiment that I ever feel. Disgust and embarrassent is what I feel towards him.

Interesting that the liberal rags brought up such a piece. Obama must have done something too many times and now they are pissed off at him.

What's "progressive" about a group of people who don't represent the sentiments of the majority of this nation and are bound and determined to drag us backwards to a failed system of government that has never worked anywhere on Earth?!? They can call themselves anything they want as they attempt to deceive the ignorant, it makes no difference what label they try to put on their agenda, it's NEO-COMMUNISM. I don't think Obama and his minions are more intelligent than any of the other communists who have failed at great cost to humanity.
