OWS protesters Anti-Semitic message. Will it hurt Obama and the left?

congoboy
Journalistic outlets, which were all too eager to accuse the Tea Party of bigotry, have been mostly silent in response to examples of anti-Semitism at the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protests. Incidents caught on tape and the urging of the Anti-Defamation League to stop anti-Jewish bigotry have yielded very little coverage.

Since October 1st, a Nexis search reveals no discussion of anti-Semitism at the protests on ABC, CBS, NBC or during the prime time lineup of CNN and MSNBC. This is despite incidents of anti-Jewish comments at rallies in places such as New York and Los Angeles.

At one L.A. protest, now-fired teacher Patricia McAllister complained, "I think that the Zionist Jews who are running these big banks and our Federal Reserve, which is not run by the federal government -- they need to be run out of this country." (The L.A. Times covered this story.)

In New York, another protester derided, "So, the hatred of the Arabs towards Israel is understandable."

    • Now I ask all the few stable progressives in here, and the goofy Leftists, and the brain dead Marxists, and everyone else, is the quote below from Timelord999 an example of something seriously being wrong?!

"Yep that's exactly what needs to be done at the next Tbag Rally ..........Tear gas em, bat their anti American heads in, stomp on their heads might put some sense into it and rubber bullets right to their anti American faces ...tear gas cans right at their heads .....Yeah I love the smell of right wing blood mmmmmmmmmmm"

    • LAUSD School Teacher Patricia McAllister - Fired

      Superintendent John Deasy's Credentials
      By Patricia McAllister
      10-23-11

      Per the LA Weekly News:

The newly appointed Superintendent of LAUSD, John Deasy, who had worked with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, found himself in two major controversies. In 2008, Capital News Service found lies in Deasy's resume. He stated the wrong date he received a master's degree, and he claimed he held a position in the doctoral program at Loyola Marymount University from 2003 to present. Loyola's human resources department could not find Deasy listed as a current or past faculty member.

Also, the Griffith Park Wayist also offers up a Baltimore Sun article that goes into how Deasy was caught in another controversy in 2008. He received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Louisville after completing only nine credits.

      ============================

We as educators know that to receive a doctorate degree, a total of no less than 54 credits are required beyond a 36 semester hour Master's degree. I think that John Deasy is a fraud.

      Questions? Call Deasy at 213-241-7000.

John Deasy is the same Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School district, who went on TV this week telling the world that I was fired for making my comments.

I think that when a lot of embezzlement is going on, all of the top people that are recruited must be willing to take the same chances. Based on Deasy's resume, it is evident that he is not a man of high character.

I think that we should call for the resignation of John Deasy, for falsifying his credentials. If teachers were caught falsifying their credentials, they would be fired. Deasy is no better than we are. In my opinion, John Deasy is not qualified to be the Superintendent of the Los Angeles School District.

Note: The LAUSD School Board members knew about Deasy's false credentials, and they hired him anyway. The LAUSD board members should be held accountable for their decision.

Please visit the following link for more information on John Deasy and the falsifying of his credentials.

    • Welcome to USSA: Tell the truth or speak your mind, get fired from your job.

Everyone is avoiding the obvious issue here.

LAUSD School Teacher Patricia McAllister - Fired

One might ask why this is such a hot topic. Well, anytime you mention the Zionist Jews and their ownership of the printing of our money, and their ownership of the Federal Reserve Bank, you will get a lot of static. Remember Helen Thomas and Rich Sanchez? All they did was mention Jews, and they were fired.

The statement that I made was true. I will never apologize or back down from my statement.

Do you see, the mismanagement and the printing of America's money by the Feds is the reason why we as Americans are suffering today! This is why what I said is causing such a stir.

The Zionist Jewish bankers who started the Feds started the IRS within months of the Fed's beginning. The Fed buys U.S. debt with money they printed from nothing, then charges the U.S. taxpayers interest. The government had to create income tax to pay the interest expense to the Fed's shareholders, but the income tax was never legally passed. The Fed is illegal per Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. In addition, not one state legally ratified the 16th Amendment making income tax legal.

I created the petition to have my job reinstated. Please go to the following website to sign the petition. Thank you in advance for all of your support.

    • Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League, urged the protest organizers to condemn any expressions of anti-Semitism, but said, "There are manifestations in the movement of anti-Semitism, but they are not expressing or representing a larger view." He also pointed out that, according to his organization's periodic polls, roughly one in six Americans believed Jews had too much power in Wall Street and the American government.

"So it's not surprising that in a movement that deals with economic issues you're going to get bigots that believe in this stereotype," Mr. Foxman said. "The movement is not about Jews; it's not about Israel. It's about 'the economy, stupid.' "

its not surprising that any movement gets a few psychos whom are sometimes mistaken for a majority voice. take the peaceful tea party and the unfair labeling of racist for instance, because a few loony's and plants show up. the news tends to focus on the few and not the many

    • the Anti Defamation League also said this: "There is no evidence that these anti-Semitic conspiracy theories" (as espoused by a COUPLE of comments among the world wide protests) " are representative of the larger movement or that they are gaining traction with other participants."

    • Hey! I have a novel idea!!!! Let's all pool our money and rent a big conference room in a mid-western hotel, where the rates are cheaper, and get together face to face to see that we are all humans who merely have different points of view and opinions on various topics. We could stock the bar with the finest beers, and the best chronic that any of us can find, and we can have these various discussions face to face on a Saturday night. We'd have to leave the wives at home 'cuz I'm sure they would want no part of it.

    • Ha, still pole vaulting to ridiculous conclusions. I respect the consistency, Congo.

It's pretty funny how people are trying to subtly, or in this case, not so subtly try to draw comparisons between OWS and the Tea Party. I mean they both are comprised of groups of people, so that's the same, but outside of that, not much else. I do enjoy the attempts though, inane they may be.

      Please, carry on.

Right on. There is really nothing in commom between the Tea Party and the Flea Baggers. The Tea Party has obtained permits for every public gathering and purchased insurance as required to have large public gatherings. The Tea Party has always provided toilet facilities. The Tea Party waves US flags not communist or Nazi flags. The Tea Party has a specific agenda, while the Flea baggers have none. The Tea Party leaves the meetings and there is no litter left behind for others to clean up, while the flea baggers leave and there is shit, and trash all over the place. Yes in deed, there is nothing in common between normal patriotic Americans and the American hating, rage filled despondent flea baggers!!!! :)

That's a nice piece of propaganda. If it was actually true, it would be a great point.

While we are on this thing called truth, shall we get into the violence the Tea Party has displayed? Or how bigotry and prejudice? Or how we can trace this 'grassroots' effort back to their corporate sponsor quite easily?

It's easy to play by the rules when you know they will work out in your favor. Ha, and when I see someone from the OWS protests fly a plane into federal building (which Joseph Andrew Stack did), then we can talk about who hates America.

It was never confirmed what Stack's particular political affiliation was. His expressed views concerning taxes however did align with Republican dogma, although to be fair, he did express a dislike of corporatism as well, but being a failed businessman, it's not hard to see why he would choose that line of reasoning.

And to answer your question, yes I have met conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans as well for that matter. People's beliefs do not neatly fit into one ideology or another. I think it is a particular failing to assume that they do.

Hahaha, I'm not disagreeing with the fact that permits have been filed and toilets attained. But to apply the context that the people of the OWS are 'rage filled' and 'hate America' are ridiculous, especially when the contrast you use is the Tea Party.

True, I will agree that there are some logistical issue with the OWS, but I would much rather deal with those than the bigotry, hate, ignorance and unprovoked violence of the Tea Party to this who do not agree with their views.

Haha, sure dcrogs is correct in saying that permits have been filed and toilets have been procured, which are obviously easy to make. However the point was to challenge the context he applied to them, while simultaneously which washing the Tea Party, which is a comical attempt at best.

But, we never see that group in the media because they are shouted out by the freaks. Hence, the SILENT MAJORITY. Perhaps there should be a movement by and of the people, it certainly would not have a problem with credibility.

I think the fact that this issue is under reported basically answers the question for itself and i do not think the jewish community themselves view that occupy wallstreet is inherently anti-semitic so i doubt it will play a huge role, especially since there is a perception that there are more bigots in general in the tea party.

I realize that you most likely have not attended a Tea Party rally. I have, not that it matters at all, but I saw Americans with all different amounts of pigment in their skin there, and EVERYONE was there for the same reason, opposition to our damned federal government getting way too big, and spending us into bankruptcy. The passionate opposition to Obama has NOTHING to do with the fact that he is half black and half white, it has EVERYTHING to do with his tired and failed agenda. yup but the problem is that it is quite easy to misinterpret and misrepresent a lot of o.w.s rhetoric as communist or asking for entitlements because since there is no cohesive message people can literally pick randoms from any protest and portray the idea of those handpicked individuals as the image of occupy wall street.

When people hear "redistribution of wealth" the first thing that comes to mind is that these people want your hard earned dollars which simply doesn't sit well with public support and beyond that since o.w.s has been in the public eye they haven't done much of anything of significance beyond protest, keith olbermann said on letterman the other night in response to o.w.s not having clearly declared their intentions( im kinda of paraphrasing) "its only been a month i would be worried if they came up with something more quickly than that" which is a valid point, but the clock started running as soon as they started getting heavy media coverage and if they don't do something more than protest the general public is gonna start looking at them as a public nuisance.

Where do all the dumb asses who post in here come from? Again, I need to stop pissing into the fan, it takes too much energy. Were you saying something again? Talk to the hand slick.

BTW, you are not correct, the support for the flea baggers is dropping like a rock. I realize you don't live in reality, but those of us who do, the ones who actually pay federal income taxes and don't have their hands out every year for the EITC and other welfare payments, are fed up with not being able to open our businesses because those ignorant fools are shitting all over the streets, are fed up with not being able to use the PUBLIC park that we pay to maintain, are fed up that we will have to pay to clean up our parks when the flea baggers are finally removed by force and tear gas! The majority is against your group of imaginary revolutionaries, they are nothing but a shrinking group of stinky, ignorant, despondent little people. Most people see that very clearly, it does not take high intellectual capabillity to comprehend what is going on.

Careful there rog. You're starting to believe your own propaganda.
Very dangerous......very dangerous. I read that Joseph Geobbels was ranting about the ultimate German victory even as the Russian tanks were pulling up outside the radio studio. Really dude, you're starting to sound like that.

There's nothing funny about what you said, slick. Secondly, you did not say "exactly" what I said I wanted to happen the the flea baggers. I know your feeble brain won't be able to comprehend the difference, but let me try; the Tea Party movement is law abiding, they get the required permits, and buy the required insurance. They wave US flags and love this country, and when they leave, there is no litter left behind, no shit on cop cars or in public parks. What I said about the flea baggers is merely this; it's time for the police to do their jobs and restore law and order to the streets, with whatever means they have available to them if those despondent freaks do not leave voluntarily. What's funny is, there are never any problems from the Tea Party rallys, but the flea baggers have caused nothing but problems, and the Leftist slanted "news" media does everything they can to avoid reporting actual news. When the Marxist in Chief finally says enough is enough, then the "news" media will start reporting some facts about the flea baggers for a change.

    • It's quite strange how the Marxists keep using the same childish labels over and over again, "faux news". Really? I suppose in their strange and twisted minds, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, are all objective "news" agencies?!? LMFAO. There is ONE real news agency, FOX, the rest are just a bunch of Leftists who ride the pony.

I don't believe that even the most loyal fox viewers believe that.
They know they are getting biased news and they like it.

Current tv has the same business model.

So, you must be a metro-sexual who loves the biased slant of the major "news" media? There may be a slight slant towards common sense on Fox News, but there is major slant towards the dumb ass Marxist point of view on ALL of the other "news" networks. There is no way you can not agree with this. Any attempt to counter will just further expose your out-of-touch-Leftist point of view.

Oh Lord, please don't smite me for agreeing with dcrog....but he's right, they're all corporate lackies. Current may be the exception, but I reserve my opinion for a while on that.

P.S. sorry Lord, but dcrog is still wrong about everything else he says.

Why not move up the major league of lyers, and apply for a job at Faux News.
Don't waste your time here in the bush leagues. You have the makings of a first class propagandist.

Oh, not to worry, I know the point of this post! It's part of the Fixed news kitchen sink approach to smearing OWS. Throw all the shit you can think of at it and hope something sticks. The fact that it changes every couple of days shows how panicy the people that have their hands up the backs of the news models over there are.
Seriously congo child, put that application in. Who knows they might even give you a spot on the big yellow couch. Right next to the hot(?) chick. Wink! Wink!

On second thought, you being 30 years younger than her,....well?.....awkward.

No such thing as a lie too big to print, my friend. Not with these guys.
You know the saddest part about this is when OWS really starts to influence change for all the people, dcrog and congochild will be saying they were for it all along, and we just didn't understand them.

maybe if theyd find some leadership and go about their complaints peacefully like the tea party they could become a legitimate force and elect some diverse politicians. the way democracy is meant to work
