Boulder Question 2H: 'Corporate personhood' referendum passes by wide margin

A Boulder measure that counters the idea that corporations and unions have the same First Amendment rights as individuals -- a concept referred to as "corporate personhood" -- scored an easy win Tuesday night.
Question 2H, which pushes for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would guarantee that only people are entitled to constitutional rights, won the vote by a nearly 3-to-1 margin. According to the final 12:55 a.m. tally, 18,392 voted in favor and 6,556 voted against.

We should have had a change to vote on this nation wide . I am TIRED of representatives NOT representing US . Lets vote on the ISSUES , and bypass the politicians . Let them work on the details , but the orders come from US !

History International channel, aka History 2 now, is running a public service
advert. At the finale they post a website: www.occupytogether.org. Check
it out. You'll be glad you did. Occupy the future ! We started this idea over
40 years ago when we occupied campus admin. bldgs during the student
strike in the Vietnam war era. I've waited all that time for the 99% to stand
up & be counted. Nothing in this world is more powerful than an idea whose
time has come. Artemis 6, . If you feel frustrated, play the lyrics of the Bob
Dylan song: " Oh, the times, they are a changin' " after you've Googled up
those lyrics to first read their poetry. And you'll see what I mean. Peace. - 7 months ago

That 6500 people voted against it tells you how much Boulder has changed in the last 20 years.

If this goes to a vote nation-wide, it will win hands down. Almost nobody, believes that a corporation should have the same rights as people.

Apparently the Bolder initiative and others like it have been sponsored by http://movetoamend.org/. There's a petition on the site that would be good of all of you to sign...

Thank you Boulder! We must get rid of Citizens United. The politicians must listen to us! I can remember when the Democrats used to have telethons on TV to raise campaign money (does anyone else remember this? It was in the early '70s). Maybe the parties need to go back to that.
