Report: Military Blew $1 Trillion on Weapons Since 9/11

But a new report shows the US defense establishment is in much better shape than it claims: The DOD has blown roughly $1 trillion on shiny new tanks, ships, and jets since the 9/11 attacks—and it's often done so with dollars that were supposed to be spent on those troops on the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Not only have we blown money on defense spending, rather than spend it on the troops, we have spent it on buying new weapons at massively inflated prices.

    • more of the 'CHANGE" we were duped into believing in.....

and defense spending is now being filtered through other outlets to mask the real numbers. Much of the most lucrative research contracts are defense projects, with the money now discretely moving through other, less obvious agencies.
