He's a controversial figure to say the least. And obviously, his words aren't going to be well received by a lot of people (and I do recognize why he brings out the ire in people). But what the man said during this moment of candor are words which everyone should consider.

Given the completely propagandistic nature of today's media, I often wonder how people who work in that business can continue doing what they do with a clear conscience. Didn't Cenk pretty much leave, or at least turn down, MSNBC's offer to him for these reasons?

It's sad that more people, of less controversial backgrounds, aren't saying the same thing. Because our sellout media is one of the reasons why we're occupying spaces and letting our voices be heard.

I'm not a fan of his, but I won't put words in his mouth and neither should you. He said nothing about Jews in this rant. He's said many reprehensible things in the past, but not this time.

Go ahead and blame the victims. I do not. Human nature is well understood by those who run the media for the benefit of the elite. You can't blame people for being human beings. You can blame those who deliberately exploit knowledge of human nature in order to control the people. The fact that human beings are attracted to drama and are easily fooled is NO excuse for those who exploit these facts in order to manipulate the people.

The disgusting state that our media is in is NOT a result of supply and demand. The lies on Fox News et al did not arise out of the fact that people wish to consume lies. These lies were born out of the desire to control the people to increase the wealth and power of the people who run the media -- the elite! To blame the people, the victims of such a directed attack on our perceptions of reality, is wrong. Blame the elite. It is directly their fault and we are but the victims.

i can blame human beings for being human beings, thus aware of the flaws that come with it, and then seeking a third party to blame for their own personal mistakes.

some one went around to peoples houses locking out actual news outlets so that we could only watch infotainment?
did i miss the out pouring of support for journlists that corperations ignored?
are we not on current right now, for free,getting news according to what we personaly enjoy rather than based on the most credible sources?

none of us were aware of this occurance.

it is critical that people look past whatever opinions they have of another human when evaluating a particular statement, otherwise people will never be able to see eye to eye even if they agree with one another.

What can I say other than wow!!! Has our level of discourse and dialog sunk so low as to refuse to even listen to someone's words because that person belongs to a certain group or espouses certain ideologies? It really is a shame that our society has become that polarized.

And for someone who spends as much time as you do railing against the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck; your comment certainly bears a striking resemblance to their tactics.
