    • The country isn't broke... A select few bought off the politicians to write laws that ensure their financial dominance.... Throw in a little bribery, so the government would turn it's head to corruption... It's a real conspiracy, and it's fact........

Those who have robbed us blind, had competition outlawed, have bought off all the representatives in our "representative democracy"...

They need to come off of it... We aren't "broke", we've been robbed by the "elite". Anything to make a buck "elite" that have outsourced all our jobs, quit paying taxes, and strives to create a permanent slave-class....

And we need to take steps to end our dependency on China.... We need to produce more of our own products, reform where industries are fleecing the tax-payers through governmental corruption...

Go to the hospital, let them give you 1 Tylenol.... Get the bill from anywhere from $12-$30, better yet let the tax-payers fit the bill....

Nuts and bolts for our fancy ass war machines $300+ range....

The financial sector.... They just rob us blind, make bad investments, bring down the world economy, and go on vacation... All with their hands out to the government, I mean tax-payer...(that's okay a big portion are planning to move to South America, we already know exactly where at....)

We're not broke if we fixed just a few things, and repatriated some of our stolen money we'd be fine..... Throw in some sane, equitable, rational policies...

    • If 14 or 15 trillion dollars in debt isnt broke I dont know what is.

The story of stuff....What a joke. So this is brought to us by the same folks who spew socialist propaganda. Yeah I believe it. the GOV is broke. Just because there are folks [ or companies] who dont spend money as foolishly as the GOV does and have saved the money they made doesnt mean the GOV [or the losers who refuse to work] is entitled to it. What part of that dont you people understand? What makes any of you think you are entitled to any of it.

The fact that your spewing irrational gibberish might contribute to our lack of understanding you. Just keep spewing the same ole fox news propaganda right up til the entire world melts down. Don't worry folks it won't be long now.

I will agree that the country is deeply in debt and that we need to reverse the defecit. I just don't agree that we are at the same place as Greece and Italy. We will be if we don't get things under control though. That said, I think we can do that without cutting social programs, IF and thats a big if, we can get the cost of health care under control. Health care cost are whats sky rocketing. The health care bill was a start, but alot more needs to be done. Ending the wars will give us some breathing room and time to make adjustments.

I never said we were in the same spot as Greece or Italy. Although ending the wars would help it, is far from the solution just as health care is also not the only solution. The Are far bigger areas that need to have serious cuts and until they are done the problem will never end and in 10 years we will be in the same spot as Greece or Italy. Their problems didnt happen overnight. They were long in coming.

    • Most of the problems in this country could be easily solved if the politicians really wanted to solve them. The fact that this country has "money problems" is insane.
And it will stay that way untill we the people make big changes.

    • I do not think we are . Lack , is a myth . It the Uber riech were not hoarding SO MUCH , there would be enough for all . We should start with making sure everyone has CLEAN water to drink , then free global birth control options . Then education . So people can learn how to best grow their own food in their own climate ...
