and just when I thought a lesson was learned. Every time you mess with any movement as such, you only allow it to grow strong in numbers and resolve. There will be larger protests coming soon to Wall Street again.

It happened in Portland over the weekend, not really a new thing. But since it's New York and where it began, I knew it would happen there too. The City's all over the country have been waiting to see how to handle it and what they could get away with. The Protest must and will continue over the long and cold winter, come Spring it is a whole new game. Keeping the protest in the eye of the public and the continued awakening of America will indeed bring out new innovations to the cause. Take for instance, legal papers need to be filed and occupations of courts, colleges, wall street, and even citizens arrests of elected officials for taking bribes would be a good second stage. Form a citizen court in each and every city and start the process by the people for the people. There has to be some unemployed lawyer types out there that can get this ball rolling. Grievances have been ignored for almost two months, isn't that enough evidence the government does not work for the people. Keeping it peaceful and taking legal action against the puppets in congress would be the right place to start. Not one thing has change with the OWS protests, they the corporate overlords and elites fail too see what really has happen with the protests, they have awakened a sleeping giant!

It will be interesting to see what comes of the hearing today -- with the judge that said the city could not ban tents etc. I would of course be completely shocked if the court made a favorable determination for the OWS protesters..............but I was surprised by the original ruling that NYC could not ban the tents to begin with. I am crossing my fingers that the court does find in favor of the protesters.

Its a pretty complicated legal matter for every city where rules and regulations differ greatly. I believe the court actually upheld that ruling but Bloomberg is being a prick and trying to ignore the ruling.

watching this from home in a back water of Colorado, voting up stories just isn't cutting it. I have gone to protests, gone to Colorado Springs and helped. But the energy pulsing through me is making me want to pace my cage like a trapped lion. I feel so helpless and useless and impotent. Making calls, signing petitions....damn.

I could be worse you could be in back water Wyoming. I did go down to Denver one Saturday in October, but it is a 3 hours one way and I physically am not able to sleep out to support them.
I do write my congresswoman and my senators, but that is pretty much like banging my head on the wall.

I knew Bloomberg was going to have Zuccotti Park cleared. That asshole! And from watcing Countdown last night, as I saw all the other Occupy encampments being taken down, I can see this is going to be a long and brutal battle. The 1% wants the 99% gone. Guess what? We are not going anywhere. This is what the frickin’ Nazis who run the 1% just don’t get. They are pissing the people off more, not beating them down. Increasing their resolve to beat this insidious crap, not to cave under it. This is just going to get bigger. If they want a violent response, they are pushing the people toward it more each time, and they are outnumbered.

Apparently the Mayor is upping the stakes and trying to play hardball, taking the protesters tents and sleeping bags, I'd say that was "sowing the wind" and would pay the price of "reaping the whirlwind"
Such harsh actions by the Mayor could have some serious consequences because some like Jesse LaGreca could turn that into a rallying cry like William Wallace did such as "We are here in DEFIANCE of TRYANNY! You can take our TENTS, but you'll never stop our PROTESTS!"
"You can buy the mayors office or you can buy other politicians, but you can't own We The People, no one can, and you can drive us away with force but you can't make us go away, these are OUR cities, these are OUR streets. You just swatted a hornet's nest. You have no idea what you are doing, and all of your ill gotten money isn't going to make us go away.
You brought riot gear because you wanted to have a riot. We want PEACE. We can't afford lobbyists to bribe you. We are many, you are few. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us"
http://news.yahoo.com/court-order-allows-occupy-wall-st-protesters-back-13513095...
"The National Lawyers Guild says it has obtained a court that allows Occupy Wall St. protesters to return with tents to a New York City park.
The guild says the injunction prevents the city from enforcing park rules on Occupy Wall Street protesters.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the city knew about the court order but has not seen it. He says the city plans to go court immediately.
Zuccotti Park was cleared overnight so that crews could clean it. Bloomberg says that was done "to reduce the risk of confrontation."
He says the city had planned to allow the protesters back in the park after it was cleaned. Under the city's plans, protesters would not be allowed to use tents, sleeping bags, or tarps and would have to follow all park rules."

To paraphrase the SyFy Channel "The Saga of OWS is far from over" because Jesse LaGreca has declared that he will continue to spread the message.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/11/15/1035606/-To-Lord-Bloomberg,-SCREW-YOU,-...!-Expect-us-at-OWS
"So expect BIGGER marches.Expect more protests and even more people than ever.Frankly, they picked the wrong over-educated restaurant manager to f*** with.
Yesterday I met Stephen Colbert. I had no idea that hours later our little city at Zuccotti park would be destroyed. As I sat in the studio audience, Colbert asked me if I was planning on Occupying The Colbert Report. I told him no, and I asked him how to handle bears while we camp out. He had a short answer; "Run like hell". Well, I won't run from bears, and I sure as hell won't run from Mayor Moneybags Bloomberg or his police force.
The message is simple; change is coming. Reform is coming whether you like it or not, Lord Bloomberg. This conversation about our future will NOT be stopped, not by an Oligarch like Bloomberg or Rupert Murdoch, not by a petty politician like Mayor Quan or anybody else. You won't get rid of us peasants that easily. These are OUR streets, you just live on the penthouse above it. You can own your penthouse but you can't own the streets

Hopefully this propels all to realize....you can only accomplish so much on a key board...you are needed in the street ...millions are needed in the street..our only power is in numbers. They can move 1000 peaceful protesters...they can not move a million!

Woke up at 3:00am and started reading the reports...I felt as though I was witnessing the end of Freedom in this Country. It is going to take millions to march in the street before the corrupt power structure in this Country understands we have had enough of their slavery and rule.

In the last two years, due to the internet , more truthful information has been allowed to the public than the last twenty. Our only power is this truth and the enlightened numbers it generates....unfortunately they also understand this.....we best prepare for a war.

alexandrek:
That's the problem, Alexandrek. They DON'T think. If they'd calm
themselves long enough not to get swept away with their primitive
aggressive instincts, they'd realize they're on the wrong side, should
support the OWs movement as they support the 99% which even the
aggressors are part of. Having the loyalty of dogs is only appropriate
for canines. Sooner or later (probably later in their case), it'll dawn on
them they work for the enemy who's been paying to use them against
their own best interests. Julius Caesar used to practice these same
divide & conquer tactics. More and more people are waking up that
the will of the majority has been subverted by the will of a very tiny
minority of extremely successful thieves who've stolen their way to
the top of the food chain., That these uberthieves aren't elected, and
have done their worst to short circuit anyone & anything that would
hold them accountable for their subversions of the laws. To the OWS
movement, peasant under glass isn't any longer onthe menu. " And
the first one now, will later be last, oh the times they are a changin' "
