John Boehner’s lobbyist pals are so afraid of Occupy Wall Street that they are pitching a million dollar hit job to bring OWS down.

As this movement grows, even the fickle Democrats will begin to consider support.(They will, of course, weigh out the lost corporation campaign donations against the gain in popular votes.) Until we come up with a viable third party that represents the working class, (if that ever happens), we will always get the short end of the stick anyway. It seems that right now, and probably into the future, protest will be the only way to get heard. As far as Boehner's lobbyists go, who cares what they do or think. They get no respect from inside the progressive community anyway. http://sibob.org/wordpress/

The OWS movement does not need pandering from politicians. The banks can attack whoever they want in the political spectrum. Most OWSers see both parties as the enemy already and will not be impacted by any backlash from pols fueled by the banksters. Any Dem who cowtows to Wall Street will suffer the same consequences as the Rep whores.

If you want to have some fun, next time someone suggests that "enough is enough" when it comes to OWS & the duration of the First Amendment's "right of the people peaceably to assemble . . . and to petition the government for a redress of grievances", ask them when "enough is enough" duration for the Second Amendment's protection allowing them to own firearms. the 1% is just giving their lackeys something to do...they know Dem or GOP out of the next election won't overly impact their plans and or goals. Occupy has the potential to do just that and they know that too. Are they scared? Not yet...they still make the rules we still chose to play by and as long as they can keep us thinking we must abide by their restrictions they will maintain the making of decisions. They want us to kill the banks down to one...that is part of the game plan. Remember the core of Occupy is about people and planet, and right action for all NOT MONEY...don't let them tell us what it is all about...they can't conceive of compassion and consideration as a way of life.

We got a letter today from a company 'contracted' by the company that contracted with the VA to provide rehab services for my husband this last summer for $500 for LESS than $50 worth of insulin while he was in their facility. They want their $500 and they want it YESTERDAY! I called them back 2day and told them we have no discernible income and THEY CAN'T GET BLOOD FROM A TURNIP!
So how much are you willing to bet they're more than willing to try? Whatever the fuck it was Obama was pushing 2 years ago ... I needed it 6 FUCKING MONTHS AGO!

If you had Universal Health care like Oboma was trying to give you. Like we have in Canada. Like every other Democratic country has, you would not have been expected to pay a dime for your insulin. The only citizens of a country in the west who do not like the idea of single payer health care (Universal Health Care) are Americans. The only people who have never had it. In April of 2004, Canadians were asked to decide who was the greatest Canadian of all time. We took more time on this decision than we take on our federal elections. Some of the finalists were, coincidentally, Sir Fredrick Banting, the co-discoverer of insulin, Alexander Graham Bell, (yes, he was a Canadian), Sir John A. Macdonold, our first Prime Minister, David Suzuki, a world famous environmentalist and Wayne Gretzky (I never liked the idea Wayne made the list with these other people). But Canadians overwhelmingly chose Tommy Douglas, the man who gave us our Universal Health Care. Funny how some Americans vilify the man who tried to do the same for you.

The thing is I sent them $50 (which is what the VA pays for Mike's insulin) and told them I honestly could not send them anymore than that. I sent it in a cashier's check/return-receipt requested with a letter noting that their signature for the letter constituted their agreement to the $50 as payment in full. It made the original company mad, but if this company that they engaged wants anything more they will have no choice but accept $1 a month until the bill is paid off!

This tells us how truly evil and manipulative the right has become. The Occupy movement is only going to get stronger. Maybe Americans can vote the Republican Party "right" out of existence. Imagine that. Universal health care. Just like the real democracies have. Truth in broadcasting. Proper taxation of the rich. Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. said "Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized society". If the Republicans keep cutting taxes for the rich, what kind of society do they want? Obviously not a democracy. If you take a Plutocracy (to rule by wealth) and an Oligarchy (a form of government in which all power is in the hands of the few) and combine them, you get a Plutarchy. Yes it's a real word, and the Republicans have been working toward this since Reagan. What would you call a social structure were corporations are people, and money is free speech, but people are not people, and have no right to free speech, or to gather? Or to gather and speak? The O.W.S. movement puts the years of Republican effort to create this Plutarchy at risk. The longer the Occupy movement continues, the more desperate, manipulative, dishonest, evil and murderous the right will become. Be careful America. One of these days the Plutarchs are going to open fire on an innocent group of men, women, and children. And they will not care who is watching. Mark my words.

Don't get me wrong, I served and I served honorably. I did come home with a very different viewpoint, so I can understand Kerry's. When I got out, there were very few jobs, unemployment was higher percentage-wise than today, yet it was easy for a combat vet to get security jobs. By that time I'd decided I wasn't going to shoot anyone for an inanimate object, so I worked as a cowboy on a ranch, I grew up on one, and for a Farmer growing winter oats and alfalfa.
I did have the GI Bill and one month's payment covered a semester of tuition at the State University. Lucky me.
