I pushed him. He fell to the ground, still holding the hat in one hand and wearing a surprised look on his face. I jumped on top of him to pin him down and began pummeling his face with my fists. Other children in the school yard gathered around. They roared in laughter at our scuffle.
Someone said, “Richard’s getting beat up by a girl!” and more children flocked around the spectacle.
