    • Note the date given for the election, please ----- and these are the Bozos who support Paul and his "Stands on Freedom." Jesus, they can't even get the dates correct.

"The Benzinga op-ed states that the 2010 presidential election “may present one of the last opportunities for the American people to rise up against the oligarchy that has run this country into the ground for their own personal benefit at the expense of the majority of the citizens of this deteriorating Republic.”

    • To those of you dismissing this because its Alex Jones, you should keep your mind open. I mean because if this is true, dont expect the media to cover this. Theyre not exactly on top of things that really matter.

Also its not like this type of thing hasnt happened in American history. All you have to look at is the Japanese internment during WW2. If your part of a group that commits a violent act (OWS, Tea Party, etc) The entire group could be targeted for possible internment.

      how about this one?

      http://www.marketwatch.com/story/kbr-awarded-homeland-security-contract-worth-up...

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — KBR, the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton Co. HAL -5.68% , said Tuesday it has been awarded a contingency contract from the Department of Homeland Security to supports its Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities in the event of an emergency. The maximum total value of the contract is $385 million and consists of a 1-year base period with four 1-year options. KBR held the previous ICE contract from 2000 through 2005. The contract, which is effective immediately, provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to expand existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs, KBR said. The contract may also provide migrant detention support to other government organizations in the event of an immigration emergency, as well as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster, the company said.

      A PRO-ENERGY PRESIDENT

As President, Ron Paul will lead the fight to:

      * Remove restrictions on drilling, so companies can tap into the vast amount of oil we have here at home.

      * Repeal the federal tax on gasoline. Eliminating the federal gas tax would result in an 18 cents savings per gallon for American consumers.

      * Lift government roadblocks to the use of coal and nuclear power.

      * Eliminate the ineffective EPA. Polluters should answer directly to property owners in court for the damages they create – not to Washington.

      * Make tax credits available for the purchase and production of alternative fuel technologies.

It’s time for a President that recognizes the free market’s power and innovative spirit by unleashing its full potential to produce affordable, environmentally sound, and reliable energy.

Because he agrees with Thomas Jefferson that it is “sinful and tyrannical” to “compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors,” Ron Paul will also protect the American people’s freedom of conscience by working to prohibit taxpayer funds from being used for abortions, Planned Parenthood, or any other so-called “family planning” program.

      * Repeal ObamaCare and end its unconstitutional mandate that all Americans must carry only government-approved health insurance or answer to the IRS.

      * Allow purchase of health insurance across state lines.

      * Provide tax credits and deductions for all medical expenses.

      * Give a payroll deduction to any worker who is the primary caregiver for a spouse, parent, or child with a terminal illness.

      * Ensure that those harmed during medical treatment receive fair compensation while reducing the burden of costly malpractice litigation on the health care system by providing a tax credit for “negative outcomes” insurance purchased before medical treatment.

      * Guarantee that what is taken from taxpayers to pay for Medicare and Medicaid is not raided for other purposes.

      * Make all Americans eligible for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and remove government-imposed barriers to obtaining HSAs.

      * Stop the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from interfering with Americans’ knowledge of and access to dietary supplements and alternative treatments.

Our national debt is currently over $14 trillion, with the government spending nearly $2 trillion more per year than it collects. The American people should not have to pay for Washington’s reckless and out-of-control appetite for debt.

High taxes stifle innovation, prevent saving, destroy production, crush the middle class and the poor, and discourage investment. Every American is entitled to the fruits of his labor, especially during these tough economic times.

Lowering taxes will leave you more money to take care of yourself and your family, and it will allow businesses greater opportunities to hire new workers, increase current salaries, and expand their companies.

As President, Ron Paul will support a Liberty Amendment to the Constitution to abolish the income and death taxes. And he will be proud to be the one who finally turns off the lights at the IRS for good.

Capital gains taxes, which punish you for success (and interfere with your efforts to hedge against inflation by purchasing gold and silver coins), should also be immediately repealed.

As a congressman, Ron Paul has consistently endorsed legislation to let Americans claim more tax credits and deductions, including on educational costs, alternative energy vehicles, and health care. He also believes it is immoral to tax senior citizens twice by requiring them to include Social Security benefits in their gross income at tax time. A first step to eliminating that requirement would be to repeal the 1993 increase in taxes on Social Security benefits. Then we must abolish that tax entirely.

While a Flat Tax or a Fair Tax would each be a better alternative to the income tax system, Congressman Paul believes we would have to guarantee the 16th Amendment is repealed to avoid having both the income tax and one of these systems as an additional tax.

      A PRO-RIGHT TO WORK RECORD

That’s why Ron Paul has been a strong supporter of the National Right to Work Act in Congress.

Passage of a National Right to Work law would end forced union dues by repealing compulsory-dues provisions in federal labor law.

In addition to his support for a National Right to Work law, he also voted to defeat Big Labor’s “Card Check” scheme.

This bill would have eliminated secret ballot elections for union organizers – allowing union bosses to intimidate workers into signing themselves over to union boss control.

And he voted against the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill.

This legislation was designed to put all American police and firefighters under the union bosses’ control – just the first step toward forcing all state and local public employees under Big Labor’s thumb.

Ron Paul’s exceptional record on Right to Work issues earned him the prestigious Everett Dirksen Award from the National Right to Work Committee.

And he’s been proud to receive the support of the National Right to Work Committee in each and every one of his Congressional elections over the years.

As President, he will continue to lead the fight to free Americans from the shackles of compulsory unionism by working to pass a National Right to Work law.

As a congressman, Ron Paul has been a consistent supporter of homeschooling and educational freedom.

Being a homeschooling parent takes a unique dedication to family and education.
      TAX CREDITS FOR HOMESCHOOLING

In many cases, homeschooling families must forgo the second income of one parent, as well as incur the costs of paying for textbooks, computers, and other school supplies.

And with combined taxes taking almost 50 percent of the average family’s income, there is little left over for low- and middle-class parents to even consider other educational opportunities.

That’s why, during his time in Congress, Ron Paul has introduced legislation to:

      * Help parents better educate their children by providing parents with a $5,000 per child tax credit for tutors, books, computers, and other K-12 related educational needs.

      * Ensure that the federal government treats high school diplomas earned through homeschooling the same as other high school diplomas.

I love ya Justz but let's not get too single-minded about AJ. I've loosely followed him for years. Yes, there's a shock-jock aspect to him that can be overbearing and his 3-hour daily show is about two hours too long but I can't find much wrong with his basic facts. He (and his buddy Jesse Ventura) just have a tendency to gloom-and-doom everything.
Alex appears occasionally on RT (Russian TV in english) and Ventura was interviewed at length on Aljazeera english this week so I wouldn't write them off as totally irrelevant.

Take a few minutes and analyze this 10-minute clip. Is it 9 minutes too long? Yep. Is it non-factual? Nope. :)

Alex is a dyed-in-the-wool Libertarian.... a Ron Paul guy. That interests me because I can agree with much of what Paul says. He at least perceives issues similarly to us Lefties and isn't ashamed to talk about them. His solutions are not always the ones I would subscribe to but if we can find common ground we just might get a step or two away from the political quagmire we're in.

You did good in posting this. It's so awful it's unimaginable to a lot of folks who are otherwise sensible.

If the memos are genuine - and there's ample reason to believe they could be in the light of past, known plans by Neocons, particularly Oliver North and Admiral Poindexter, to get such camps ready - then there's a bigger problem at this point than I believed yesterday. Much bigger. The whole business is so awful that otherwise sensible people cannot belive it, even after Bush/Iraq and over a million excess deaths - killings including tens of thousands of little girls and little boys, and so forth. Hideous. Especially at the Christmas Season.

But in the light of the S1876 Defense Authorizations on the table, the concept at hand deserves a coldhearted evaluation, absent emo. Historically, "eras" usually lasted more than a few years - perhaps a couple hundred - like the Dark Ages, or perhaps the Renaissance. Consider the events of the past 100 years - World War I and the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of human beings in a few days, or less. World War II, and the slaughters in the death camps and Slavic nations. Korea, VietNam, Iraq, and so forth. We are in one of the darkest of ages in human history. Read Barbara Tuchman's book on the 14th Century for a primer on this. People who don't want to look at what is really going on today almost certainly are a mirror of people in the Third Republic of France in the mid-1930s. Does anyone think that folks could have believed, in significant numbers, that something like Auschwitz would have happened? And given the duration of human eras, does anyone seriously believe that certain sectors of the human race could not do the same sorts of things again? If you don't believe it, explain those tens of thousands of little girls and boys, sons and daughters of other human beings that America itself has blown to smithereens in Iraq in a phony war that made the perpetrators fabulously more wealthy than they already were: the petroleum sector (Bush's family business) or KBR/Haliburton, Cheney's alma mater. You think these folks wouldn't do the same thing to you if you stood in their way? Nationality? They have no "nationality," they're transnational.

After four thousand years of human history, the chance of these sorts of things changing significantly in merely the past few decades is nil, and there is in fact clear evidence that it's same as it ever was.

      Thanks rerushg... you're a smoothy.

I have to ask, why would you loosely follow an fanatic like Alex Jones? What value does that information have for you? I know there's a shortage of reliable news sources on the boob tube today but why go looking for it in the fringe?

I don't know about you but when something smells like crap, I don't need to taste it to know its shit. Take Ron Paul; he may say all kinds of things that sound good on the surface. But life is more complicated than "You Get Yours, I'll Get Mine." Libertarians are irresponsible children who think sound bites solve problems. But in their reality, if/when your house is on fire, the only fire department coming to your rescue will be from your garden hose.

That's simply unacceptable to me. Society is complicated animal that requires well thought out comprehensive conflict management. if libertarians ran the world, it would have burned to the ground by now.

I went looking for sub-culture info a few years ago in support of some Wikileaks stuff I was trying to verify and found some Jones video. It turned out to be pretty decent work for an independent effort so I started paying him some attention. As I, and others, mentioned earlier, he does have a pretty good research staff and likes to start with factual information.
As for Ron Paul there's this: He runs with the GOP as the red-headed stepchild, tolerated but not supported at all politically or financially. Fact is, they hate him. That's fine. The enemy of my enemy just might be my friend; or at least he might be someone I can negotiate with.

Muslim extremists did the Norway Terror bombing
Muslim extremists (Al Qaeda) were behind the 2001 Anthrax Attacks
Russia attacked Georgia in the 2008 conflct
Hamas broke the cease fire which led to the 2008-2009 massacre of the Palestinians
Saddam had weapons of mass distruction
Osama bin Laden's mulitple underground fortresses
Swine flu outbreak to infect more than half the population of America
      Iran has nukes
Ahmadinejad said that he wanted to wipe Israel off the map
White supremacist neo-nazis are planning terror attacks to overthrow the government (ADL and SPLC propaganda)
Muslim extremists are everywhere in America ready to stage terror attacks so we need TSA at airports and even at football games to stick their hands down our pants and fondle our genitalia

So as you can see New York Times, NBC, CBS, CNN, Washington Post etc are not innocent of making wild claims that are totally untrue and they never admit to being wrong.

Even a blind pig sometimes finds an acorn. I read secs 1031 & 2 of the bill & wonder why the heck the military can send anyone they detain to custody in care of any foreign government, or any foreign entity whatsoever. Read the bill. Read the link in my post above from marketwach. Aside from pork to Cheney's old alma mater KBR/Halliburton, language in the bill specifically legalizes the "extraordinary rendition" the CIA's been doing to people for years so they can be tortured by, for example, the folks currently in charge in Egypt after the so-called "Arab Spring." In fact, the bill appears to legalize extraordinary rendition for American "suspects" apprehended in America. Read the sections and get back to me before you dismiss anything. Who knows? People who really, really want to smell nothing but roses will smell roses when they're smelling dog crap.
